Claudette Powell

I was raised by rock and roll parents but when I sing and write from my heart, it comes out in a gospel bluegrass style.

My ancestors lived and died in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, so I suppose their music is in my soul. My Grandaddy was a gospel singer who toured the southeast in the 20's and 30's and sang with the Navy Choir on CBS Radio during World War II. His beautiful music lives on in all of his children and grandchildren.
