Three elite players sponsored by Q9 Billiards—Bean, Bryan, and Marc—traveled to Melbourne to compete in the Victoria 8-Ball Open from July 6th to 7th. Among over 60 participants, these three were the only players from Our Queensland, making their achievements even more impressive.

On Saturday, they excelled in the group stages, showcasing their skills and determination. On Sunday，Bean made an impressive run, reaching the quarterfinals. Marc advanced to the round of 16, and Bryan fought his way to the round of 32. Their performances highlighted Q9's dedication to excellence in billiards and thrilled fans back home.

It is an APPA Ranking Event and it is open to Women and Men.

I have seen consistent improvement in overall performance, especially after winning in Fairfield and advancing to the final day in three consecutive ranking tournaments. This recent tournament featured the strongest field in WPBA events over the past two years. Although the outcomes weren’t always at the top, I’m delighted to see the progress

Special recognition must go to Women's Professional Billiard Association (WPBA), particularly President Dean Roeseler. Since leaving Taiwan and losing the Amway Cup, it’s been years since encountering such a dedicated organization. Their willingness to listen to the players has encouraged more participation in WPBA events, and this is truly commendable

For over thirty years, WPBA has continuously hosted women’s events, always staying current. From the early days on ESPN to streaming on YouTube and Facebook, their efforts have allowed more players and fans to engage with professional women’s billiards. The Q9 Billiards Sessonal 8 Ball Tournament concluded with 50 players competing fiercely. Alvin Wijaya emerged as the champion, winning the top prize of $1000. Macko Aveunalliv last tournament's winner, secured second place, earning $500. James Li and Marc Angelo Perez claimed third and fourth place, respectively, winning $300 and $200.
