Giving you a daily dose of joy!
👋🏻 I haven’t really done a post like this before but I thought it might be nice to do some introductions for our new followers!
🌟 I’m Lindsay, about to turn the BIG 4-0 in a couple of months (still yet to plan anything, what should I do?!) I’m currently training for a half marathon and will be running the London marathon in April (this still hasn’t quite sunk in!) I’m an Occupational Therapist and specialise in emergency and acute medicine. Dogs are my favourite animal but since visiting Canada I am also slightly obsessed with bears. I know it’s cliche but there is nothing I love more than travel and adventure and just generally being outside in nature.
🌟The little cutie in the photos is of course Bruno. He turned 10 this year (we’re in sync with the big birthdays!) His favourite toy is his Stinky Ball which was once previously a white snowball but is now a very VERY dirty ball. He hates the rain and being cold and needs to sleep under a blanket at all costs. He wakes me up at exactly 6am every single morning because he is too excited to eat his breakfast. He is an expert cuddle monster and he loves nothing more than rolling around on a rug.

A weekend full of fun with my two best boys ✨
Some more of yesterdays riverside fun 🤩
Is there anything better than a dog laying on your chest?
Smile like you mean it! What’s everyone’s weekend plans?
Life lately 💫
Does anyone else have a dog who REALLY likes to nap? 😴
When you’re trying to take a selfie and your dogs having none of it 😅
Disturbing the peace at the beach 🙃
We are back ! Ffi and Ollie have been busy building a second hut and we jumped at the chance to come and stay again! I won’t lie, I have definitely had a bit of holiday blues post Canada but this place is making everything ok again. We’re back where we belong, cooking on an open fire outside in nature and it’s beautiful! I can confirm Bru is also really enjoying himself!
I may be going grey but I am still young at heart. Mum likes to call me the George Clooney of dachshunds, what do you think?
We missed National dachshund day this week so here are some pics of my best boy which make me smile, I hope they make you smile too!
The dog whose face says it all 😂 (don’t worry this is just a throw back to the time he hurt his dew claw, he’s all good now!)
Please enjoy these cute snaps of the little guy having the best time at his day care place! Absolute squad goals! 🐶
We’re off to Canada tomorrow for two weeks and he knows something is up! I’m attempting to pack but he’s laying on my clothes to stop me 😂 Bru sadly isn’t coming with us as dogs have to go in the hold on the plane in the U.K. and I’d never do that to him. He’s going to have fun with his friends at his day care place with all the big fields to run around. I’m not sure if I’ll be posting whilst we’re away as we’re in an RV so won’t have any WiFi so if I disappear for a few weeks that’s why 😀 🇨🇦 (we’re stopping off at Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler, Glacier, Jasper, Banff and then fly home from Calgary!)
Those magical puppy dog eyes 🥹
Life lately…it’s been a funny old week. I found a lump in my armpit last weekend which sent me off on a bit of a spiral (understandably) thankfully my surgeon saw me on Thursday and it’s nothing sinister but it wasn’t fun waiting those 6 days wondering about the various what ifs. It also felt like such a gift to be told it’s nothing to worry about unlike the last time I found a lump. Just a gentle reminder to keep on checking yourselves guys ♥️
Does anyone else think he’s smiling because I definitely do! ☺️
What’s your favourite flower? 🌼
Not his favourite activity! 🛁
I might have little legs and I might be 10 years old but I can still hike 8k and walk along a ridge line! Proud of Bru for taking on the Cats Back today, such a beautiful hike!
Oh to live here! We’ll be living our dream lives this weekend in this beautiful A-frame cabin ✨ (head on over to my stories to see more!)
Bank holiday weekend moments 🌞
When your dog notices you’re eating cheese 🧀
Spring really suits you sir Bruno 🌷
Nature really is so good for the soul. There are many things I love about London but I know my body (and mind) just want to be in the countryside nowadays. I’m feeling ready to embrace a slower pace and a simpler life. I want to spend my spare time outdoors doing the things that make me feel calm and happy. Have any of you made the transition from city to countryside? How did you find it?
This will always be one of my all time favourite photos of Bru! Happy Earth Day and big thank you to for putting my boy in their calendar!
Some snaps from our day out in Richmond last Sunday! 🌳
Not a good start to the weekend. Bru was playing with stinky ball and he got his dew claw caught on the metal bar on the carpet and it’s torn 😞 it’s been bleeding and we’ve done our best to bandage it up until I can get him to the vets tomorrow. He’s feeling very sorry for himself and I feel so bad for him. It looks like he might end up needing to have the whole thing removed which means he’ll likely need an anaesthetic. I’ll update you tomorrow as soon as I know what he needs 😭
