Pete from Battlefront’s Christmas video is out. The Pacific next year. Early War in 2025. A new tank game: Clash of Steel. A Late War Leviathans free PDF.
At 8 minutes, it’s pretty short. They’ve kept Pete on a shorter leash for this one, and detail is limited. It has lost a bit of its rambling charm. But well worth a look!

This one came with a BOX! 4D Models T-90MS kit. Looks closer to 1/72 scale this time. Review in the New Year.

This link turned up during research helping Adam Brooker from Dice of War making German decal packs.
There's a ton of cool information on here about German markings - placement, size, colours and so on. This includes tactical numbers, and identifies the standard DIN 1451 font used in German signage and markings.

On The Bench: Soviet PRP-3 VAL Forward Observation Vehicle. A BMP-1-based artillery observation post. Chassis is Battlefront plastic with a 3D printed PRP-3 turret and 90mm flare launcher.

Channel Update: Hi everyone. Fog of War has been quiet since finishing the NATO Forces content partner project with Battlefront. Not because I have nothing to review - but because I have too much!
There are a number of projects in the pipeline. One is just taking a lot longer than I expected. there's a still from the video below as a teaser.
I also have a Chinese ZTZ-99A Type 99 plastic kit I want to cover, plus there's a lot of great kits in the review backlog like S-tank and Centurion.
I will get to all of these.

Sherman List v0.2: Thanks for all the feedback. Here's the expanded list. There are things like HVSS versions of some designs not explicitly covered. The list would just get too long!
But let me know if I missed anything, or made any typos. Or if I'm just plain wrong.

Disclaimer: This list isn't required to field or enjoy Shermans in Flames of War. V4 simplified Sherman variants to make it easier for most players. But this is just an intellectual exercise for me to sort it out for those who do care.

A bit of excitement in the Fog of War studio today. While filming for an upcoming segment, my Ulanzi LED light exploded. Luckily it happened while I was there. I managed to get it outside and onto somewhere non-flammable. There’s a fan venting the toxic plastic fumes from my studio, but I got quite a few lungfuls while dealing with the fire. If this had happened unattended, it would have caused a fire. As you can see, it melted off its light stand as the case disintegrated.
Bit of excitement. Could have been a lot worse, however. Ministures being filmed are safe, but there’s a lot of soot to clean up, and some lights to replace.

ERRATA: In tomorrow's video on the ANZACs, Dutch and Belgians, I caption this image as a Leopard 1BE. Further research has indicated that's wrong. It is clearly a German Leopard 1A5. There's even a helpful little flag. My bad!
The Leopard 1BE was upgraded to the Leopard 1A5BE standard in the mid-80s, but never received the spaced turret armour. Upgrades were to sights and fire control, including a muzzle reference system.
So, I'm just setting the record straight before the video drops.

It is a nice picture though.
