The Hangout Hospitality Group has a Staff Accountant position that maintains and controls the general ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Additionally, this position will require strong organizational and analytical skills; and the ability to work in a team environment.

A qualified applicant will provide the ability to:

· Perform hands on day-to-day financial/accounting activities for the company

· Analyze and audit GL accounts

· Accounts payable full cycle

· Verify accuracy of invoices

· Prepare sales and use tax returns

· Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports

· Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements

· Report analysis and findings to management team

A qualified applicant will also have a:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required

· Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Outlook

· Experience in Restaurant 365

· Well-developed verbal and communication skills and strong organizational skills

· Basic understanding of budgetary concepts and procedures

· Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and previous experience in accounting or other related fields

· Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools

· Detail and deadline-oriented

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Must be able to effectively handle and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a deadline driven environment

· Must be punctual, reliable, and have a pleasant demeanor

The Accounts Payable Clerk ensures that all invoices are coded to the correct GL account, obtains invoice approvals where required, and ensures the accounts payable process is completed accurately and timely. This is for a multi-location company, so attention to detail is imperative.

Accounts Payable Clerk Job Responsibilities:
Posts and/or reviews invoices for payment.
Obtains invoice approvals as required.
Ensures all invoices are posted to the correct location and GL account.
Sets up new vendors as needed.
Posts and prepares A/R deposits as received.
Codes and reconciles credit card statements as needed.
Prepares a weekly bill schedule in Excel.

Accounts Payable Clerk Qualifications / Skills:
Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excel skills on an intermediate level required.
Restaurant365 experience a plus.
Ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounts payable
Experience in working with multiple companies/locations
