How it started..... how it finished! Dry/ Drenched... BUT, the rain was gorgeous and refreshing, the coats kept us dry, the company was excellent from one of my bestest friends for over 20 years, and we got 9 miles in! Win win, gorgeous afternoon. So grateful for friends, laughs, breath, beautiful days and health π

To folk who attended last night.... try practicing the Kirtan Kriya, daily if possible but just when you can. See how you feel after, find that peace in the repetition πβ¨οΈβ¨οΈβ¨οΈβ¨οΈ
Like with all meditation, don't worry if your mind wanders, that is perfectly normal, just bring your attention back to the Mantra and the breath. The more you practise, the easier it gets π₯°π₯°π₯°

Just did a very interesting Masterclass for Wellness Professionals β¨οΈ
said that absolutely NO PART of the mouth structure plays any part in breathing.... it is the nose which has the features for breathing.....
Which is exactly what I was always taught when I trained in Kundalini Yoga years ago.... it was said over and over, always breathe through the nose!!
Like Patrick said, nose breathing is the foundation of health. So much of his scientific approach ties in with the Kundalini Breathwork I was taught, so I can't wait to study more from the Buteko/ Oxygen Advantage scientific perspective π«

If you feel moments of stress today, heres a quick tip... just slow down for enough time to take one slowwwww breath in through the nose, slowwwww out through the nose.
Feel the breath in and out, how it feels in your nostrils and lungs.
Then carry on your day. Repeat as many times as needed to get through those moments β¨οΈ π

Kundalini was once called serpent yoga and stressed the value of the Shakti energy, the primal power.

The energy of the Kundalini rests at the base of the spine, until awoken and slowly uncoils up the spine waking up each of the chakras in turn.

A lot of people say to me they can't "do" yoga, because they are not flexible enough or they can't stretch.
People say they can't relax, or meditate, because they can't stop thoughts whizzing through their heads.
People might think that yoga is all bendy poses and skin tight leotards. It can be, but it doesn't have to be!
β¨οΈMy class is for you, if you want to learn to stretch, to learn to relax, to learn to find stillness. You don't have to be an expert already, I can help you to learn these techniques β¨οΈ

If you are looking for a strenuous exercise class, this is not that. This class will be Gentle but Energising, Lively but Relaxing.

What is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini Yoga is one of the most ancient forms of yoga. It works on the body, the mind and the soul.
In Kundalini Yoga we use combinations of Asana (postures), Mudras (hand positions), Mantras (sound vibrations), Breath (pranayam), Meditations and Relaxation.
Kundalini Yoga is for everybody; every size, shape, background, culture, religion, beliefs and age. Kundalini Yoga does not compare you to anyone else, everybody is welcome.
