BZ AC Liam! Welcome to the branch!
A great evening at St Austell Sea Cadets to undertake some Piping Assessments and help the Piping Team ready for the Area Piping Competition in a few weeks.
I was also delighted and honoured to present Able Cadet Liam with his Cadet Drill Instructor badge and whistle following his success last week, being the first CDI in Cornwall for decades! A massive BZ to him!

The moment is upon us, tomorrow hundreds of cadets and adult volunteers will be travelling to Kent to start the training, and on Sunday heading for the Capital for this year’s National Trafalgar Parade, the first since the Covid-19 pandemic.
We have over 70 attending from the South West to represent their districts and the Area in Drill, Band and PT, where I’m sure they will show what the SW and the Corps can do!

**National Trafalgar Parade is one of the SCC’s National Ceremonial Events in London, where each Area sends a small number of cadets to take part in the parade.
Because the South West is such a large Area, each year, 2 districts are asked to provide the number of cadets requested**
It might be July, it might be a tad hot but drill doesn’t stop!
