Out now!! Our new song “Burning Bridge” is available on all platforms 🎉🎉🎉
When my co-writer Laurie Smith sent me the lyric idea “Sometimes the brightest light is a burning bridge,” it stopped me in my tracks. I was struck by its profound truth - that something ending can turn out to be the best thing that could have happened to us. That something ending can help us start finding our way back to ourselves. Sometimes we hold on for dear life to things (i.e. relationships, situations, places, jobs, patterns, whatever), even if they aren’t serving us or are maybe even harming us without us being aware of it, and it can be painful to let those things go. But perhaps after some time and distance, when we look back at the flames on the horizon that burned it to the ground, yes we see fire and ashes and burns and hurt, but we also start to see rebirth, healing, growth and hope. That’s some bright light, y'all.
I knew Laurie had struck gold with that lyric that day, and I’m so glad we chased the song and are finally able to share it with you here. I really love it because it reminds me that even in darkness we can and will eventually find our light. We hope it reminds you of that, too.
Thanks so much for listening (link in comments below). Let us know how the song speaks to you ❤️

Having a moment over here thinking about how my 1st ever sync placement last week just so happened to be for a scene at a high school prom where a teenage couple gets crowned queen and queen ❤️🌈🥰 As someone who wrestled with accepting themselves and their sexuality for a long time for a variety of reasons, having a song of mine placed in a scene like this feels pretty poetic. I also feel honored that a song of mine played a small part in LGBTQ representation on screen. Proud!
Thanks again to Selby Copeland for co-writing a killer song and to InStyle Music for landing the spot! If you haven’t gotten a chance to watch the mid-season finale of All American yet, you can stream it on The CW. Our song “Ocean Of You” is available for listening on all platforms.
Woot woot! Super excited to share that a tune I wrote with Selby Copeland - “Ocean Of You” - landed a spot on tonight’s episode of All American! Tune into the CW at 8pm PST to catch it. Big thanks to InStyle Music for getting our music out there!
