First floor renovations have been all DIY and therefore SLOW progress…
Still working on repainting kitchen cabinet doors/drawers and the custom sliding door for the pantry.

Another kitchen remodel was not on my to do list but I’m a sucker for Vivi’s baby blues especially when she started batting her eyes and pleading.
These were built by my dad for my sister and I a long time ago and somehow survived our childhood.
We painted it( color matched old one yet still doesn’t match🙄) , added new (leftover k***s), drew some “subway tile” on backsplash, and spray painted extra faucet. Very low budget and only took the cost of paint. Special thanks to Auntie B gifting her half of the kitchen set! 😉

The office got new flooring, new wall color, new rug (even painted our old IKEA desk to make it look new) . Now to finish up the rest of the rooms on the first floor!

Thanks to my super talented mom for making me this green knit pillow!! Not that I needed another pillow to add to my collection (some say addiction) but this one is extra special because as Vivi says “it was made with love”!

Managed to get some pics of Gavins room only because he was at golf camp over the summer and I spent an hour cleaning it while he was gone. In case you didn’t know boys are gross!
Just need to add the wood frames to his standing pinboards and this project is done. Full disclosure it goes without saying his room never ever looks like this even after he’s “cleaned”it.

I have this thing for architecture…..
When in Florida I took the kids to the art museum and I spent just as much time checking out the building as I did the art inside. The kids favorite part was a marble statues naked butt😂. And since it’s Florida there was an afternoon rain storm and of course I forgot an umbrella so we ended up having early dinner in the museums fancy restaurant while waiting for rain to stop. Another fave part for the kids was doing cheers with real glass drink ware.
