Come see what's in store for Hydrangea's future at the Hiland Spring Play, "Hydrangea Albright: Comedy or Tragedy?". Performances are this Friday 7pm, Saturday 7pm and Sunday 2:30pm in the Hiland auditorium. Tickets sold on-line and at the door.

Hiland 8th Graders started their DC trip off with a stop at Gettysburg today.

Math state testing at Hiland on Tuesday, April 23rd. Students should report to their testing location in the morning. If you are not taking a state test, report to Hiland by 9:57am.

State testing begins tomorrow at Hiland. English Language Arts Part I. If you do not have a test, report to school by 9:57am.

There will be no classes today due to the solar eclipse.

Reminder: School will be closed on Monday, April 8, in observance of the solar eclipse. Classes will resume as usual on Tuesday, April 9. Enjoy the event safely!

Good luck to our boys basketball team as they play for the state championship tomorrow at 10:45. Go Hawks!

This is a reminder that there will be no school on Monday, April 8, due to the total solar eclipse. School will resume on Tuesday, April 9th.

For your safety during this event, the Holmes County Emergency Management Agency has provided some important tips:

1. Protect your eyes! Never look directly at the solar eclipse without proper safety eyeglasses specifically designed for this purpose. Regular sunglasses won't suffice.
2. Be prepared for potential traffic congestion in Holmes County. Plan your travels accordingly.
3. Expect darkness during the eclipse. Ensure you wear visible clothing and carry a flashlight.
4. For your safety, it's advisable to limit biking during the eclipse due to low visibility. If you must bike, ensure your bike has working lights and wear a safety vest. Always wear a helmet.

Today in Profe’s Spanish classes, students made Mexican seed spirits to celebrate the arrival of spring. Seed spirits are made in San Pablito when spring arrives and are kept through the growing season to safeguard the harvest.

Congratulations to the Hiland Varsity Singers. They performed at the OMEA District 10 Choir Contest this weekend.

Reminder…all juniors will be taking the ACT tomorrow at Hiland.

Congratulations to Hiland Seniors Martin Gingerich, Ethan Hershberger, and Levi Rubio. They were selected to perform with the All State Honors Choir in Columbus.

East Holmes Local School District is operating on a 2 HOUR DELAY today Tuesday, January 23rd.

The originally scheduled 2-hour early dismissal is cancelled and we will dismiss at normal time.
