Spiritually, conciously awake and ready. I'm a baby boomer, born in 1949, 74 years old. I feel like I just entered Rod Sterling's TWILIGHT ZONE.... bones hurt, hair thinning, forgetfulness, yes, this is the TWILIGHT ZONE... the little bit of light before complete darkness as well as the darkest time before the dawn, and I'm looking forward to it, my final chapter in this realm. Let it begin. 2024...

Giving honor and gratitude to my mother and all my "Ancestral Mothers" for the privilege of living this life. Giving thanks for the lessons of the year, it's consequences and its rewards. 74 years within this earthly vessel. My Soul is happy. Sitting at home, warm and cozy, cause my joints hurt. Is it arthritis or long term covid symptoms, maybe both. Body aches, stomach distress, anxiety and forgetfulness. I have a bone scan soon coming. We shall see. Have a great night. Much love.

What a great time to be born. On the 12th day of my birth month, on the first day of the last New Moon of the year, an astrological portal is open. Time to manifest and set intentions.

Years ago I did this painting on gessoed paper, my version of Eve in the garden being tempted by the snake. I continue to use the snake as a theme of transformation. Well, while out shopping I saw this coat/ robe with the same theme, snakes and apples. So Happy 10th day of my birth month to me.

"It's More than a Game". I was inspired to produce this painting several years ago when my eldest grandson played defense with Cal Berkeley. I was inspired by the energy and dedication it takes to play football at the college level. The journey continues...When I developed breast Cancer in my 40's I became aware of lifestyle changes I needed to make. These changes didn't occur all at once, infact they were revealed to me at different times in my life due to different circumstances. It was during that time in my life that I was introduced to the concept of "Mindfulness," along with the concept of "Do No harm" and do all things in moderation. In my attempt to NOT have a reoccurance of cancer, I altered my diet to vegetarian and later to vegan. I haven't had a reoccurrance of cancer in over 30 years. Now, in the last leg of my journey, I'm taking a closer look at nutrition. Asé

As I enter the season of my birth, I've been re-minded of who I am and my soul's purpose. I'm contemplating the archetype of the wounded healer and ask my Ancestors to guide me as I work on healing myself of past wounds. Asé.

I had a fantastic reading today from Mr. Joa Janakoayas, president of I AM University of Spiritual Psychology, which was in line with my calling. I have been out of balance since I had covid. I've been affected by anxiety and depression, I was given medication that made me feel worse. I knew my energy centers were out of balance, and although I practiced chakra balancing on myself, it wasn't happening. I also knew that my 4th, heart chakra was blocked. I had all the behavior. I asked the universe to put me in line with someone, like me, to work with, and I was heard.

When my daughter was born in 1972 my father invited his 5 brothers over to meet his first grandchild. My daughter was dressed in a christening dress and laid in her bassinet. Each uncle viewed my daughter, and finally, my uncle Acie, who was a minister, lifted Ayanna from the bassinet, raised her above his head, and, as I later learned, presented her to God. Last year I created a Day of the Dead Ancestrial Alter for the tenants of the apartment building I served in. I loved creating it with the help of my supervisor and some of the tenants. We finished it off by adding photos of our relatives. The veil between the realms of the present ( the living) and the past ( the dead) is said to be it's thinnest during this time.
