I saw a video the other day here on instagram, by LA photographer - .photo describing what it means to be a photographer. He said the definition of being a photographer is “riding with light”. He went onto say if we are not using light to your advantage to make beautiful images - you’re not actually a being photographer.

Light, whether it natural or in a studio is critical for shooting and is the pinnacle of creating a great photo. While, yes there are alot more factors that go into taking a great photo, your light is so key. If you have seen me walking around the track, pivoting, or standing in spots that might not always look like great locations - for the best whips & trick photos - it’s because I’m tracking the sun. Fidgeting with my camera to bring down harshness so when I get back to my computer my images are easier for me to edit. How the sun beams down onto you as a rider - is critical.

If anyone knows me, you will know that my favorite times to shoot photos is the early morning and golden hour end of day races. It’s the movement of the dirt married with light, when it spins off creating the roosts, or let off before hitting a table or ski jump - that to me create my favorite shots. 😉☀️

Things are a bit different this year as they are ONLY available here in Texas - DFW Area including Mckinney, Prosper, Plano, Grapevine etc.

For those of you new here - here's the deets:

✨ Sessions are $200 individual/couples/families(per household).
✨ Full session fee due at time of booking. Non-refundable
✨ Price does not change if you don't want to use smoke gr***des - smoke is always optional but encouraged.
✨ Locations include: DFW
✨ Animals are welcome! Horses, Dogs, cats etc - must be leashed at all times.
⚜️15-20 High resolution photos
⚜️Personal online gallery for direct download
⚜️Printing Release

👻 You will be able to use up to 3 smoke gr***des per session. Colors vary based on what is available, cannot guarantee colors.

👻 PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Full payment required at booking. I do not hold spots. No shows are non-refundable. If you’re late to the agreed time - there is a late fee added to your session of $25. If you want to reschedule last minute you MUST let me know 48 hours in ADVANCED. If you don’t, your payment is forfeited. To rebook - must pay again.

Sunday was a scorcher 🥵🔥

Damn, that was a hot one.. 🫠. 114 to be exact. The last time I was out at Underground was for Spring a Ding with a jacket. I would take those cooler days right about now when it comes to race weekends 😅.

Btw, does anyone have any recommends on how to keep your camera gear cool in this texas heat? My Sony gets overheated 😕. Trying to avoid the internal temperature warning. Tips & tricks welcome. 📸🤙🏼

Would you believe me if I told you this was my first time at the Ranch?

Well, it’s the truth 😉.

I cannot begin to express how truly blessed & humbled I am to have the opportunity to not just make it to Loretta's to capture the action, but to capture key moments for many of you. If you bought photo packages or not, you have truly allowed me to believe in my talents as a story teller - capturing the passion and the hard work all of you have put in to achieve your dreams and reach greatness this year. Whether you were those who podiumed or not, be proud of yourselves - you worked hard to get where you are. 👊🏻

As I go through to get these edits, I am constantly reminded of how much I love this sport. I never thought in a million years, I would have met as many people as I have from riders to industry leaders. It's wild y'all. But I’m here for it! It's exciting and humbling to know where I've started and how far I've come. Whether you met me at a local track, pro races, areanacross or just followed me because you saw one of my reels. I thank you & appreciate all of you 🫶🏼.

Atlanta was my first fan fest ever 😅 & it didn’t disappoint . Up in Michigan when SX rolls through it’s winter time, it’s C O L D. Probably snowing, and not ideal. There is no fanfest & a total drag… y’all get it.

I was fortunate to walk around and take photos in atl, the whole experience was one for the memory books 🙏🏻. Can’t wait to experience another show 🙌🏼.

I never thought, in less than six months of starting BluGroove Media, I would be watching the sunrise over the Atlanta Motor Speedway for Race Day Live.

While still slightly new to the sport (this is my second year photographing motocross), it's a whole other experience being on the rider side vs. a fan. The experience was humbling, and makes me realize how much I love this sport, the people and being around the moto community.

Big shout out to Joshua Cartwright for having me come out and work with you, Miles Shugg, Bubba Pauli and the Maddparts.com Kawasaki Race Team . It was awesome meeting you all and I can't wait for Nashville, Round 15. 📸😉🤙🏼.
