There have been several reports recently of explosions caused by lithium ion batteries giving off vapour as it is in the thermal runaway process. If the vapour enters the vehicle as in this case in Belgium and an ignition occurs there will be an explosion. First responders must understand the dangers of an enclosed vapour cloud.
