Crocheting is my meditation. When we create things, it gives us a feeling of purpose and accomplishment.

I still remember how it felt when I learned how to make my first hat, or my first bikini top. I learned from YouTube because prior to that, I only knew how to make square things such as scarfs, washcloths etc.

Next Wednesday I am offering a workshop at in Toronto so you can learn how to crochet too! I I will teach 3 different types of stitches and you can either start on a hat, medicine pouch, or washcloth. You probably wont be able to finish your project in 2 hours, but you will have learned what you need to know to continue the project later on.

This is a beginners workshop and I will have yarn and hooks available for you to use.

To register, click the link below.

Last winter when I saw turn these Shipibo ayahuasca patches into haltertops and vests, I was blown away! I tried making some for myself and I love how they turned out!

I don’t usually use a lot of colours in my tops, so having the guidance of the patch is extremely helpful and makes it easier. It is a lot of fun to see the result and I can’t wait to make more for this summer!

If you are interested in making these yourself, you can become a patreon with and learn through video tutorials.

I am happy to support a fellow handmade artisan Buncha Dirty Hippies by carrying some of their arm warmers at my display located at Alternative Thinking on Bathurst street and Bloor. Jocelyn Allen makes beautiful wearable art from up-cycled clothing, helping to keep clothes from entering the landfill and giving them a second life.

These arm warmers or “fingerless gloves” are perfect for texting on a cold day, or keeping your hands warm while working on a keyboard or art project.

Alternative Thinking is open 7 days a week, 12-8pm. I will be there tomorrow all day, so if you are in the area, pop in to say hello!

Yesterday I tried searching for a pattern of this design and couldn’t find one. So I went ahead and tried making it free hand. I made a few mistakes in the beginning, had to ribbbbit, and start again. The second time I nailed it, just how I had envisioned.

This is what I love about crochet, you can find inspiration around you, and figure out how to create a similar design yourself.

Patterns are useful if you don’t want to spend the time ‘figuring it out’.

As a crocheter, what do you prefer? Following a pattern, or figuring it out?

Here is another custom piece I did recently for a friend.

This cap is made with the design of the evil eye 🧿 symbol which comes from Egyptian artwork as a representation of the god Horus. It is believed to reflect or avert evil influences, and is a symbol of protection and good fortune.

This summer has been the busiest for selling halter tops. Sometimes a person finds one already made that they love, other times they ask me to make a custom top with their colour and size.

A dear sister asked me to make her this custom flower of life halter top and I am so please with the way it turned out!
I didn’t take measurements, I just went off of visuals and it happens to fit her perfectly.

If you are looking to have a custom top made for you, send me a DM now as I am currently accepting custom orders.
Alternatively, you can come and see what I have in stock at 106 Ossington ave where I will be vending most Fridays and Saturdays this summer.

Do you ever get inside your own head, with negative thought patterns, thinking about what you should be doing, what the future is going to hold, or how you can better serve humanity?

I sure do, and when my mind gets in these loops I always come back to my practices, yoga, meditation, breathing, excising, even crocheting!

Over thinking doesn’t help resolve any situation. Whenever I have been stressed about how things are going to work out; where I’m going to live, or how I’m going to pay my bills, the universe always presents something that’s better than I could have even imagined.

So I do what I can to keep my vibe high by pulling myself out of these thought loops and trusting that everything is going to work out!

So today, and everyday, let’s plan what we can, do what makes us happy, and trust in the Lord, not Doug Ford! (Had to throw that one in there🤣)

Ps this hat is still available to purchase from me. 100% baby alpaca wool size LG.

My first ever crochet pants! I was inspired to make them because I just loved the pattern by . I was her patron for a few months and with that monthly subscription, received 2 patterns every month.

I left them as flood pants for now, maybe I will add a few more rows in the future but for now I’m loving this look.

I don’t necessarily time myself when I crochet, but a lot of people ask me, how long does it take you to make this or that. If I was to guess, including having to undo and redo some areas due to minor mistakes, these pants would have taken me between 20-30 hours over the course of at least a month.

Now I can cross pants off of the list of things I have made, what will be next for this winter? For now I am going to keep busy with making ultra soft merino wool hats for the wintertime. I currently have 2 openings for custom hats, if you are interested in a homemade winter hat send me a dm. Prices range from $60-$80 depending on style and materials used.

Alternatively you can come to the Ossington Alley Fine Arts, Craft and Music Market Saturday, October 23rd and see what kind of goodies you can find in person! DM me for more details.

Crocheting was taught to me by my mother at a very young age, so when I was ready to expand my skill set I used YouTube to figure out how to make bikinis, pants, and more!

This workshop is for adults, and children alike, who are keen about learning the art of crochet from someone who has been doing it for 20 plus years.

I decided to start with the most basic project that I started off with as a young girl, a washcloth. With the skills learned from this project you will be able to make a scarf, or anything that is square/rectangle shaped.

The following week we will learn how to make a winter hat which will teach you the skills to work in a circle shape.

And if you are still with us it in until the last week, we are going to collectively decide what to make. I will suggest a few projects consisting of techniques we haven’t learned yet.

In addition to this workshop, I am going to offer the space every Sunday from 10:30 until noon at the same location, for experienced crocheters and knitters to come and work on their projects together free of charge. If you are part of this workshop series I encourage you to come out for that as-well to get assistance with anything you are struggling with.

If you are interested in joining us for this workshop, send me a DM. I have a promo code discount for anyone who cannot afford the price, I don’t want to turn anyone away who is eager to learn how to crochet with me, so just talk to me about it and we can work something out.

Excited to teach more people about this amazingly versatile art form!

You can find the tickets on my biography by clicking the link “Crochet Workshop Series for Beginners”.

I have been writing patterns over the last year and I have a few more to share in the coming months, but this is my first official pattern release.

Thankyou to for being the only one out of 3 to fully test this pattern and send back to me with notes on what needed to be changed/improved upon. I am figuring out the process of pattern making, testing and releasing as I go and am very greatful to those who are willing and able to test them for me!

The next pattern currently being tested are the rainbow earrings, the timeline for releasing that pattern is 2-3 weeks, so stay tuned!

Most of the tops I make are halters or bikinis, but for the first time I finally created a full shirt using a pattern by .

If you are a crocheter and you aren’t following her by now, I highly suggest you do. She provides invaluable content to her audience including countless tutorials on how to make her designs. This is why I became her patreon, because I can see the work she puts into helping other creators level up, and I fully support that!

I love this top so much, I wear it multiple times a week. I wonder what my next big project will be. Probably the Lolly Pants design!

Each day brings new challenges and opportunities to grow, so welcome each one with the knowing that you are having the experience for a reason; for your own, and our collective evolution.

Try to forgive those who have wronged you, but next time be more discerning and cautious. This is what bad experiences do to you, they make it hard to have faith in humanity and trust people.
Learning to listen to your gut and your intuition is a valuable skill, it can keep you out of sticky situations.

There is a balance to be had. If you let bad experiences block you from saying yes, then you might miss out of the juiciest parts of life, but if you say yes to everything, it could lead you into dangerous situations.

What do you choose today? How are your choices shaping your life?

For all off the mushroom lovers out there.

More than a year ago I made a custom top for similar to this one. I finally got around to making another just like it.

Fits size 32-38 B-D

Available to purchase: $73+shipping($5-10)

This is the first time I have made a full shirt for myself! I am a patreon of so I get a copy of her monthly patterns and this is one of them. The original pattern has sleeves but it is far too warm to add sleeves right now.

The process of making this piece was long because I had to undo, and redo part of the torso 2 times to get the size right. I am not 100% satisfied with the end result because I am a bit of a perfectionist, but it is not bad for hand made.

Made from all organic cotton materials. For summer wear, I always use cotton, it has proven to be the best choice of material.

If you are interested in ordering a halter or bikini top for the summer, let me know. I have lots in stock and I am open for custom orders!
