FMF will be hosting an Aiken Eventing Training Trip 2025 Interest/Information Meeting on Friday August 16 at 6:30PM. Please use the Microsoft Teams meeting link below to join us.

Hello Fullmoonians!

We hope you have enjoyed your summer thus far. This is a reminder that the current lesson Season ends 9/7, so all make-up Stablecards from the current Season will automatically expire on 9/7. (If you have "Added credits" Stablecards from Working Student or Volunteer hours, these will expire on the date listed on the Stablecard, not on 9/7.)

As always, credits can be upgraded or combined, so please email me at [email protected] if you'd like to do this. (1 group credit + $20 upcharge = 1 private lesson; 2 group credits can also be exchanged for 1 private lesson)

Now for the exciting news! The new lesson Season is now open for booking. Be sure to book ASAP, as lessons are first-come-first-served. (You don't have to pay anything until 1 week prior to the first lesson of the Season.) Please note: There are a few changes in lesson offerings on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. We are thrilled to have Ms. Emily Jacobs joining us as a permanent instructor on Saturdays! You may also notice that some lesson descriptions now include recommendations based on equitation team divisions (JEL, NCSSEL, & NCAEL). These lessons ARE open to riders that aren't on teams; our goal is to give team riders/parents a better idea of which lessons are right for them.

Full Moon Farm, Oliver, and Company were on the road again!! This time the team spent a morning visiting the Carroll County Public Library- Eldersburg and had the chance to meet approximately 250 new friends. We love network with new and familiar faces and spreading our love of horses (of all shapes and sizes!). Be sure to catch us next week at the Taneytown library.

Louisville road is closed in both directions. Please use the back entrance to get to the farm this morning! The entrance is off of 91 and take the road by the brick church between royal farms and old Gamber road with all of the mailboxes.

We want to thank Little People’s Educare for joining us at Full Moon Farm for a day trip filled with riding, leading, grooming, and all of the fun! We loved sharing our love of horses with you all. Contact us today if you’re interested in a trip to the farm for a new and fun experience.

Full Moon Farm had a blast at the Baltimore County Public Library in Reisterstown teaching community members about horses, riding and more! Special thanks to the Maryland Horse Library/MHIB for joining us and sharing our love and knowledge of all things equine. Great work by Full Moonians, Christine Emily Jeremy and Oliver for creating such a great experience.

Fullmoonians! Are your little siblings, cousins, neighbors, & friends jealous of all the time you get to spend with our fabulous ponies? If they're too young for lessons, invite them to participate in this Sunday's Parent & Me session with the lovely Margaret Kellogg. They're sure to have a lot of fun!

Thank you so much for those who were able to attend our Full Moon Farm Eventing Foundation DEI training! FMFEF strives to promote good horsemanship, prevent marginalization, and foster diversity, equity, and inclusion and yesterday was a great step into ensuring all people feel included. We value the conversation and applaud everyone for their vulnerability.

There is so much to learn within the diversity of age and knowledge levels in our FMF community and we all have different experiences in life. We want to bring awareness of otherness and education. We feel speaking up and sharing your thoughts is always important and we hope everyone can feel comfortable sharing with the right audience.

Summertime is in full swing at FMF as Summer Camp Week 2 continues to bring the fun, laughter, and love of horses! Congratulations to the plethora of Campers of the Day and Week and we look forward to spreading our love of all things horses in our last summer camp in August! Our next Farm Family Show is Sunday, 8/11/2024. We are in need of volunteers including announcer, jump crew, gate and a couple of adults for the ribbon table.

No experience is needed and you can volunteer as little or as much as you like. Hours can be used toward volunteer hours or service hours.

This is a fun low key show where you can learn about equitation shows and cheer on your friends and riders while volunteering.

We wrapped up the Full Moon Farm Eventing Camp and had a blast! Many thanks to FMF Equestrian Woodge Fulton for conducting our XC demo lessons, and Kate Chadderton for being our show jumping guest speaker and course walking coach! We dedicated a lot of time to prepare and then compete in our Friday Unrecognized Horse Trials. We are proud of our riders and grateful to the horses for achieving so much success this week. Onward and upward! Many thanks to our coaches, volunteers, staff, and supporters for making it such a great week.
