Weekend fun alert:
It's winter time and the plants are starting to die. So whipped up pesto using fresh basil from my garden and made this beautifully looking and delicious pesto braided bread. It tasted great with sumac and red chilly flakes infused olive oil. The tanginess of sumac paired perfectly with nutty and cheesy flavored bread.

Bhindi is a low calorie vegetable and packed with fiber and vitaminC. You can roast it, stuff it or deep fry it. Peanuts will complement this nutritious veggie by providing healthy fats and loads of protein. Here is a recipe of Bhindi-peanut fry, a complete nutritious and delicious dish.

Banana Bread v2--> Super moist and yummy chocolate chip banana bread! The secret is yogurt :D Many people use sour cream but for a healthy replacement, use yogurt. Although the recipe calls for 1 stick of butter, you can replace half cup of butter with half cup of olive oil or apple sauce. Yet to try the apple sauce replacement.

Ever tried to make Tzatziki sauce, a greek cucumber yogurt sauce? Its very easy and I found a way to use my leftover cucumber and mint.
Check out the recipe and whip it up in 5 minutes. I used mint but you can also use parsley, dill, roasted or plain garlic etc. The fun part is you can eat it as a side with rice and sabzi or roti and sabzi or falafel or just like that. It is very refreshing and much needed for the summer to cool off your body!

It is also a good source of protein and fiber. The beans in this salad will keep you full and pump up the protein intake.
