Homeschool REC
This group started out as the Vilonia Homeschool Coop with the intent to offer monthly meet-ups or educational field trips.
Homeschool REC (recreational and educational cooperative) is a cooperative effort of local (Faulkner County area) homeschool parents to create monthly recreational events for the entire family for educational and social enrichment. Our Story
This group started as the Vilonia Homeschool Coop in 2016 by one mom who’d been told “there are tons of homeschool familes in Vilonia” but couldn’t find them. The plan was to find those families, get them together, have have some fun at monthly meet-ups or educational field trips.
Our group has grown since that time to include many families outside of Vilonia, namely Conway or Greenbrier. In order to adapt to that, we plan to rename our group this summer. It will now be called Faulkner County Recreational Coop. We will remain a cooperative effort of homeschool parents to provide enriching, monthly meet-ups and field trips.
All are welcome no matter your homeschool style, religious preference, family size, or even if you're already involved with another coop.
There are no registration fee to be apart of the group. If the trip cost, each family is asked to cover it for their family. We also are aware of expenses that come with homeschool so we try hard to plan all trips to be free or very inexpensive (~$5/student).
