The epidemic of misdiagnosis, false accusations of abuse, and innocent people being convicted continues although the medical community is divided.
Imagine your child is in distress. You rush them to the nearest place that you believe can help them, you might even call 911. You put your faith and trust in doctors and nurses that have been trained to save lives…little did you know that you needed to fear for yours. The questions start, professionals want to know what YOU did to your child…what you aren’t telling them. While your baby is fighti
ng for his/her life, you are interrogated, badgered, and told that there is no way this happened the way you say it did. All you want to do is be with your child, hold their hand, tell them everything is going to be alright…Daddy and Mommy are here and will protect you. It’s not ok though, and it won’t be for a long time, not if THEY have anything to do with it. We are not alone in the claims against caregivers or parents who were caring for a child when this unthinkable, unexplained medical mystery happened! We are now amongst several thousands of families who are struggling with a wrongful diagnosis and, in our case, an outrageous prognosis. All of which has culminated in a wrongful conviction and/or loss of custody.
