Dear Past Player/ Supporter


On behalf of the McKinnon CC Past Players, you and your partner are cordially invited to a special celebration of our club’s 1980/81 VJCA Senior Division Premiership win.

As you will no doubt be aware this is the only premiership the club has ever won at Senior level and as such it is a pivotal piece of our club’s history, therefore we would love you to be part of the celebrations.

To celebrate, a 3 course sit down luncheon is now confirmed for Sunday 27th November at Sandy by The Bay Restaurant at Trevor Barker Beach Oval, Beach Road, Sandringham commencing at 12noon.

RSVP and payment details are provided on the PPA Luncheon Program Guide over page.

We are hoping to have most players from that team in attendance along with the committee of the day and other club members including our 80/81 CMCA 5th XL Premiers that all were a part of this significant achievement.

We hope you can come along, join in the fun and be a part of the reminiscing of those great times.

Good evening all!

Never have I had a season this delayed by the weather but I don’t care if it’s 100mm or 1000mm, the rain will not stop us. This is going ahead this Thursday!

SEASON LAUNCH followed by the PLAYER AUCTION/LUCKY DIP. $30 a ticket, preferably bring cash. The option to pay at the bar will be available, it will just save time and you can ignore the boring antics of having to print out a receipt.

Suma will be in the kitchen cooking up his bolognese so bring your appetites, along with your wallets for bulk beers…and soda’s/gatorades of course for the Wade King, Adam Pullman & Krishna’s of the club. Your folk won’t be forgotten, we still love you.

I saw Dan organising apparel tonight at the club so that has arrived and will also be available for purchase.

Can’t stress enough the importance of carrying momentum off the field and bringing it onto the field, come game day. This here is the perfect opportunity to show that but it needs to come from both the old faces and the new.

It gives me great pleasure to announce Emma Lynch as our new Womens Cricket coach. Emma has over 10 years experience and has previously played at Maribyrnong Park and is currently playing at Ringwood in the premier division.

Emma is passionate and eager to develop/coach the girls.

With a solid structure in place with the announcement of Emma and Lisa as captain its time for people to get on board. If you're interested in joining the team this season please get in touch with Fiona or myself.

I am personally excited by these recent announcements and am really keen to watch the girls development this season.

If any current player who can get a woman player down to the club will get $100 taken of subs.

Hello everyone,

We are seeking expressions of interest for a position of Club Umpire for our McKinnon Cricket Club. Anyone who has played or knows the game well would be ideal.

There is a shortage of umpires in our competition and we would really benefit from a male or female to join us by standing at matches where McKinnon will be participating.

This would help us greatly, and at the same time, once you have been registered, been assisted with training and accreditation by Cricket Southern Bayside you would be able to pick up some handy pocket money.

It is a great way to get some exercise, be around your Club and help us as we build again to the strong Club we all love. The offer may also be of interest to friends, students or anyone in your family with an interest in the game.
