The statewide fi****ms deer hunting season begins this Saturday, November 25, includes a Sunday hunting day of November 26, and ends Saturday, December 9.
All Pennsylvania state forests and 100 out of the 124 Pennsylvania state parks are open to hunting.
If you are not hunting and heading out to enjoy Penn’s Woods, be sure to be seen and safe.
We hope all hunters have a safe and enjoyable hunting season!

The best time of the year! 🍂
Recent colder temperatures have stimulated steady change in foliage throughout the Commonwealth.
With cold-to-seasonable temperatures expected in the 10-day forecast, the fall color transition should follow a steady trend throughout Penn’s Woods.
The best color can be currently found in the northern half of the Keystone State, but vibrant hues are making their way southward.

You may see a harem of elk, bulls sparring, deer grazing, turkeys, and more! Enjoy and be aware nature can be difficult to watch at times.
The camera is on 24/7, so you can watch day or night. The best times to view elk are dawn and dusk.

The annual elk license drawing reveal will occur this SATURDAY, August 21, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Elk Country Visitor Center in Benezette, PA. Those not attending can watch the elk license drawing reveal LIVE on the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s page.
Elk license applicants do not need to be present or to watch the reveal live to receive their elk license if drawn. Successful applicants who provided a phone number or email will be contacted within an hour of the reveal, those who did not will be notified via postal mail.
Good luck to all applicants and thank you for being Pennsylvania hunters!

Our Story
As four brothers growing up in the Pennsylvania countryside, we were always drawn to the outdoors. Our first visit to Elk County was in 2005, and it would not be our last. After a short trek to our campsite in the Elk State Forest, we hiked to the nearby food plot. Within just minutes, a huge bull arrived with other elk in tow, bugling loudly. This close-range encounter was enough to get our blood pumping and heart addicted to this wild country.
After years of coming back, we can attest to amazing experiences like this being common in Elk County. That’s why we’ve created these cabins to share with you.
Nestled in the heart of Elk State Forest in Benezette Township, these beautifully rustic and newly constructed vacation rental homes combine the comforts of modern life with frequent elk and wildlife sightings, dark skies perfect for star-gazing, and remarkable landscape views of the surrounding country.
With access to the recreational areas, Winslow Hill Elk Viewing Area, and the Elk Country Visitor Center, you’re perfectly situated to take advantage of all that Benezette has to offer.
We want our rental cabins to be the home for your getaway, your retreat, your vacation, as you unplug from your busy 21st-century lives and reconnect with whatever is really important to you.
