Carnival!
This Saturday, we hosted our third successful carnival night at the Jungle Bar. What a night!
The new set we’ve been working on throughout the first half of this year got it’s first outing; alongside the classic beachy and tropical favourites we branched out a bit and played a few covers from different genres. The new set features a few 80s pop bangers we’ve been practicing for an 80s-themed party booking. All in all it went down a treat, with a pop-punk cover of Sinead O’Connor’s Nothing Compares to You being a particular hit.
The mid-set limbo competition was as raucous as ever, and there was some impressive fancy dress on display. Speaking of fancy dress, our friend and DJ, Kev, was the only person still in his costume by the end of the night - a full flamenco dress and fruit bowl head-dress - earning him some bizarre looks by the punters who turned up late! Supported by fellow DJ El Gordo, he kept the party going ‘til 3am.
Our next Jungle Bar gig is our now legendary Beach Party on 15th December - put it in your diary because it’s not one to be missed!
