On Sunday 3 September we’re once again playing at the fabulous Brentford Festival, in Blondin Park, W5 4UL. We’ll be on the main stage at 4:15 with our usual blend of rock and pop favourites. It’s a great way to end the summer holidays - hope to see you there!
Despite the rain, we had a blast at Barnes Fair! Thanks to all who came today and stayed despite the showers 👍
Hey there Facefriends! This next Saturday, 8 July, you have TWO opportunities to watch the mighty BATS of Ealing, playing in Barnes and Hanwell!
We start the day at the brilliant Barnes Fair. We’ll be playing a set at the bandstand from 12:00 to 12:45.
Then, in a dramatic homage to the time Phil Collins traversed the Atlantic by helicopter to play both Live Aid gigs (except without the helicopter or, thankfully, Phil Collins) we’ll be racing across town to Hanwell Community Centre to play as part of their Fun Day from 3:00 to 3:45.
Further details for both events below. Hope to see you there!

Good old Pete!
In his autobiography Pattie Boyd explained that after the Concert for the Bangladesh, Eric Clapton and his girlfriend Alice Ormsby-Gore cut themselves off from their friends. Eventually, though, Ormsby-Gore’s father and The Who’s Pete Townshend spoke to Clapton.
“Alice’s father and Pete Townshend of the Who eventually got through to Eric and persuaded him to seek treatment,” Boyd wrote, adding, “Pete Townshend had been the only friend who had refused to take no for an answer and had been to the house so often that eventually Eric had seen him. If anyone else managed to get in, Eric had hidden upstairs. But Eric confided in Pete, and as good as asked for help.”
