Allergy Defender
We took out the discomfort and frustration of controlling allergens in your home, made it up to 99% effective and safe for the whole family.
Allergy Defender is your shield against allergens. The story of our company began one Christmas Eve when our co-founder Savanna was 5 years old. Savanna was as excited as any 5 year old would be to see her family, and to open presents on Christmas. This was going to be a normal evening, another Christmas eve marveling at the tree, shaking boxes, and singing carols. Christmas Eve went off without a
Air duct cleaning involves the removal of dust, debris, and other contaminants from your HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system. This includes cleaning the supply and return air ducts, registers, grilles, and diffusers. But how often should you invest in air duct cleaning services? And is it necessary for everyone? Every 3-5 Years: For most homes, a professional air duct cleaning every 3-5 years is sufficient.
More Frequently: If you have pets, live in a dusty environment, or have family members with allergies or asthma, you might need to clean your ducts more often, perhaps every 1-2 years.
Let’s set the record straight. Allergy symptoms are immune responses, not infectious diseases. Unlike contagious upper respiratory or sinus infections, these reactions are triggered by allergens and aren’t something you can catch from someone else, even through close contact like kissing.
The term “dust mite bites” is misleading. In reality, dust mites do not bite humans. They lack the physical ability to do so.
What people often attribute to dust mite bites are actually allergic reactions. These reactions are caused by dust mite f***s and body fragments, not bites.
When dust mites feed on dead skin cells, they produce waste. This waste contains proteins that can trigger allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.
Symptoms often mistaken for dust mite bites include itching, redness, and swelling. These are common allergic reactions, not evidence of an actual bite.
Do you think dust mites bite humans? Answer will be revealed in our next post! You might be surprised by the answer.

If you're relying on allergy pills but still struggling with symptoms, you're not alone. Pills often mask the symptoms rather than address the root cause.

🐾 Remember: While hotels strive to maintain a pet-free environment for guests, service animals are always welcome. Meaning that there will always be a possibility of pet dander in any hotel you are staying at! Make sure you are prepared with a bottle of Allergy Defender to make your vacation even more enjoyable. 🐶💼
Are you aware that asthma can be affected by indoor paint? The drying process of paints and other construction materials can release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the atmosphere. VOCs can cause irritation to individuals with asthma and allergies, as well as pregnant women and young children. Certain VOCs, such as propylene glycol (PG), can dry out respiratory passageways and contribute to the restructuring of airways. Elevated levels of VOCs can also endure indoors for extended periods following painting, potentially enhancing the likelihood of asthma attacks in children. To best combat this remember, take frequent breaks, have proper PPE such as a mask and ensure proper ventilation!
YES! Yes, it is possible to be allergic to rabbit dander. Allergies to rabbit dander can cause symptoms such as sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, itchy or watering eyes, and skin rashes. Severe reactions may lead to difficulty breathing or asthma attacks.
Air pollution can make asthma symptoms worse and trigger asthma attacks. Pollutants in the air can irritate airways, causing them to swell and tighten, which can lead to breathing problems. Air pollution can also make people with asthma more likely to catch upper respiratory infections, which can then trigger asthma symptoms.
Asthma is scary. It always will be. There are situations and moments that remind me just how scary asthma can be. It still scares me, and I remember just how fragile my lungs are and how important it is to protect them.
Common mistakes I see on the allergy journey:
1. Forgetting it takes time for your body to calm down from that histamine response
2. Ignoring that allergy attacks can happen hours after exposure
3. Treating just the symptoms, not the source

Many may not know this but there was a study performed in the American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy that found that dogs labeled as hypoallergenic did not have a significant decrease in the levels of known dog allergens!!!
Why I avoid essential oils as an asthmatic 🚫🌿
Most essential oils are VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and release particles into the air that I'm breathing in. 🌬️❌
They give me an instant headache. 🤕
I always end up needing my rescue inhaler when I'm around them. 🫁🚑
Happy 4th of July! We wish you a happy and allergy-free day!

Did you know? Many everyday fragranced products like scented candles, cleaning supplies, and air fresheners have been linked to headaches, coughing, and even asthma attacks. 🌿💨 Check out the research:

🐾✨ Did you know that even our adorable furballs have a secret allergy story? 🤔🌿 It turns out, all pets, even those labeled hypoallergenic, produce tiny allergens called pet dander—so small, they're practically invisible! 🌟🔬 What's pet dander, you ask? It's the protein from their tiny, shed skin cells that can trigger allergies in sensitive humans. 🌱 So, while we can't always see it, it's there! Who knew our beloved pets had such a sneaky side? 🐶🐱💨
Here are three things to avoid in your home if you suffer from asthma! 🚫💨
Candles 🕯️ - They can release pollutants that may trigger asthma symptoms.
Air Fresheners 🌸 - They often contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which can worsen respiratory issues.
Fragrances 🛍️ - Synthetic fragrances in products like cleaning supplies and personal care items can irritate sensitive airways.
Keep your air clean and asthma-free! 🌬️
Happy Father’s Day to the man who saved my life not once but twice. Who loved me so much that he created a product that didn’t end up just changing my life but thousands of others. No matter how many people told him it couldn’t be done, did it anyway and succeeded. Thank you for loving me so much.
Love,
Your daughter Savanna
The number one thing I wish people knew about pet dander: It's not your pet's hair, but their dead skin cells. Even hairless pets have pet dander!
