Kerala Tourism donates Rs 6.06 cr to Kerala CM’s distress relief fund

Kerala Tourism Department has donated Rs 6.06 crore to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF).

Mr. Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Tourism, Kerala handed over the cheque for the amount to Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of Kerala at his chamber in the Secretariat.

Ms. Rani George, IAS, Secretary, Tourism; Mr P. Bala Kiran IAS, Director, Tourism; Mr. V.S. Anil, Deputy Director, Tourism, and Ms. Bindumony S, Secretary, DTPC Thiruvananthapuram were present on the occasion.

The sum of Rs 6 crore earmarked for Onam weekly celebration, which was dropped due to flood disaster last year, and the 10 percent of the amount collected through the ticket sale of ‘Vasantholsavam 2019’, conducted by the Tourism Department, constituted the amount contributed to the CMDRF.

A total of Rs 56,14, 970 had been collected through the ticket sale of ‘Vasantholsavam 2019’, which was conducted without drawing any money from the public exchequer.

મુન્નાર
મુથિરાપુઝા, નલ્લથન્ની અને કુંડલા - ત્રણ પર્વતોની હારમાળાના સંગમ તરીકે મુન્નાર રચાયેલ છે. સમુદ્રની સપાટીથી ૧૬૦૦ મીટર ઉપર, આ હિલ સ્ટેશન દક્ષિણ ભારતમાં ભૂતકાળમાં બ્રિટિશ સરકારનું એક સમયનું ઉનાળાનું રીસોર્ટ હતું. ફેલાયેલ ચાના બાગાન, મનોરમ્ય શહેરો, પહોળા રસ્તા અને હોલિડેની સુવિધાઓ આને લોકપ્રિય રીસોર્ટ શહેર બનાવે છે. અહીં જંગલો અને ઘાસના મેદાનોમાં મળી આવતી એક્સોટિક વનસ્પતિ પૈકી એક નીલકુરિંજી છે. આ ફૂલ દર બાર વર્ષે એક વાર નીલા રંગમાં પહાડો પર છવાઇ જાય છે, જે હવે ૨૦૧૮ માં ખીલશે. મુન્નારમાં દક્ષિણ ભારતનું સૌથી ઉંચું શિખર પણ ધરાવે છે, આનમુડી જે ૨૬૯૫ મીટર જેટલું ઉંચું છે. આનમુડી ટ્રેકિંગ માટે આદર્શ સ્થળ છે.

ચાલો આપણે મુન્નારની આજુબાજુના કેટલાક ફરવાના વિકલ્પો જોઇએ જે પ્રવાસીઓને મનમોહક મુન્નારના હિલ સ્ટેશનને માનવાની ઘણી બધી તક પૂરી પાડશે.
ઇરવિકુલમ નેશનલ પાર્ક
મુન્નારની નજીક મુખ્ય જોવા લાયક સ્થળો પૈકી એક ઇરવિકુલમ નેશનલ પાર્ક છે. આ પાર્ક તેના લુપ્તપ્રાય પ્રાણી - નિલગિરી થાર માટે જાણીતું છે. ૯૭ ચોરસ કિમી ક્ષેત્રમાં ફેલાયેલ, આ પાર્ક ભાગ્યે જ જોવા મળતા પતંગિયા, પ્રાણીઓ અને પક્ષીઓની ઘણી પ્રજાતિઓનું ઘર પણ છે. ટ્રેકિંગ કરવા માટે શ્રેષ્ઠ સ્થળ છે, પાર્કમાં ધુમ્મસથી આચ્છાદિત ચાના બાગાનનું અદભૂત દ્રશ્ય જોવા મળે છે. જ્યારે અહીં પર્વતનો ઢળાવ, નીલાકુરિંજીના ફૂલોને કારણે નીલી ચાદરથી આવરી લેવાય છે ત્યારે પાર્ક સૌથી વધુ જોવાલાયક સ્થળ બને છે. તે વનસ્પતિ છે જે પશ્ચિમી ઘાટના આ ભાગમાં સ્થાનિક જોવા મળે છે તેમાં બાર વર્ષે એક વાર ફૂલ આવે છે.
આનમુડી શિખર
ઇરવિકુલમ નેશનલ પાર્કની અંદર સ્થિત આનમુડી શિખર છે. આ દક્ષિણ ભારતનું સૌથી ઉંચું શિખર છે, જે ૨૭૦૦ કરતાં વધુ મીટર ઉંચું છે. શિખર સુધીના ટ્રેકની ઇરવિકુલમ ખાતે વન અને વન્ય જીવન સત્તાતંત્ર પાસેથી પરવાનગી સાથે મંજૂરી અપાય છે.
માટ્ટુપેટ્ટી
પર્યટકો માટે મુન્નાર શહેરથી લગભગ ૧૩ કિમી દૂર આવેલ અન્ય જોવાલાયક સ્થળ માટ્ટુપેટ્ટી છે. સમુદ્રની સપાટીથી ૧૭૦૦ મીટર ઉંચું આવેલ માટ્ટુપેટ્ટી તેના પથ્થરના ડેમના સંગ્રહ અને સુંદર તળાવ માટે જાણીતું છે, તે આનંદદાયક બોટની સફર પ્રસ્તુત કરે છે, જેથી પ્રવાસી આજુબાજુ આવેલ પહાડ અને કુદરતી સૌંદર્યને માણી શકે છે. માટ્ટુપેટ્ટી ઇન્ડો-સ્વિસ લાઇવસ્ટોક પ્રોજેક્ટ દ્વારા ચલાવાતું ડેરી ફાર્મ માટે પણ જાણીતું છે, જ્યાં પ્રવાસી વિવિધ પ્રકારના ગાયના સંવર્ધનને જોઇ શકે છે.
પલ્લિવાસલ
પલ્લિવાસલ મુન્નાર શહેરથી લગભગ ૩ કિમી દૂર આવેલ છે, જે કેરલામાં સૌ પ્રથમ હાઇડ્રો-ઇલેક્ટ્રિક પ્રોજેક્ટનું સ્થળ છે. તે અત્યંત કુદરતી દ્રશ્યની સુંદરતા ધરાવતું સ્થળ છે અને મોટે ભાગે પર્યટકોમાં પિકનિકના સ્થળ તરીકે પસંદ થયેલ છે.
ચિન્નકનાલ અને આનયિરંગલ
મુન્નાર શહેરથી નજીક ચિન્નકનાલ અને તેના જળધોધ આવેલા છે, જે પાવર હાઉસ વોટરફોલ તરીકે લોકપ્રિય છે, જે સમુદ્રની સપાટીથી ૨૦૦૦ મીટરની ઉંચાઇથી જળધોધ રૂપે નીચે પથ્થર પર પડે છે. સ્થળ પશ્ચિમી ઘાટની રેન્જના રમણીય દ્રશ્યથી ભરપૂર છે. જ્યારે તમે ચિન્નકનાલથી લગભગ સાત કિમીની મુસાફરી કરો ત્યારે તમે આનયિરંગલ પહોંચો છો. આનયિરંગલ મુન્નારથી ૨૨ કિમી દૂર છે, જે ચાના બાગાનથી આચ્છાદિત લીલાછમ છે. ભવ્ય જળાશયની સફર એક અવિસ્મરણીય અનુભવ છે. આનયિરંગલ ડેમ ચાના બાગાન અને સદાબહાર જંગલોથી ઘેરાયેલ છે.
ટોપ સ્ટેશન
મુન્નારથી લગભગ ૩૨ કિમી દૂર આવેલ ટોપ સ્ટેશન સમુદ્રની સપાટીથી ૧૭૦૦ મીટરની ઉંચાઇ પર આવેલું છે. તે મુન્નાર-કોડાઇકેનાલ રોડ પરનું સૌથી ઉંચું સ્થળ છે. મુન્નારની મુસાફરી કરનાર પ્રવાસી પાડોશી રાજ્ય તમિલનાડુના કુદરતી રમણીય દ્રશ્યને માણવા ટોપ સ્ટેશનની મુલાકાત લે છે. તે વિશાળ ક્ષેત્રમાં નીલાકુરિંજીના ફૂલો ખીલવાને કારણે નીલી ચાદરને માણવા મુન્નારમાં મહત્વના સ્થળો પૈકીનું એક છે.
ચાનું મ્યુઝિયમ
જ્યારે ચાના વાવેતરની ઉત્પત્તિ અને ઉત્ક્રાંતિની વાત આવે ત્યારે મુન્નાર તેની પોતાની વિરાસત ધરાવે છે. આ વિરાસતને ધ્યાનમાં લેતાં અને કેરલાના ઉંચા પહાડોમાં ચાના વાવેતરની ઉત્પત્તિ અમે વિકાસના મનોહર અને કેટલાક રસપ્રદ પાસાની જાળવણી તથા શોકેઝ માટે, ચાનું ખાસ મ્યુઝિયમ મુન્નારમાં ટાટા ટી દ્વારા કેટલાક વર્ષો પહેલાં ખોલવામાં આવ્યું હતું. આ ચાનું મ્યુઝિયમ આર્ટિફેક્ટ, ફોટોગ્રાફ અને મશીનરી ધરાવે છે; આ તમામની વાર્તાઓ છે જે તમને મુન્નારમાં ચાના બાગાનની ઉત્પત્તિ અને વિકાસ અંગે જણાવે છે. મ્યુઝિયમ મુન્નારમાં ટાટા ટીના એસ્ટેટ નલ્લથન્ની એસ્ટેટમાં સ્થિત છે અને મુલાકાત લેવા યોગ્ય છે.
