Acme Open House is coming up next Thursday, August 29, 2024. Students will not have school on this day.
Come visit your child's classroom, tour the school, shop at the Scholastic Book Fair, raffle baskets at the pto table from 12-3pm and 4-7pm.
At 5pm on the playground join everyone for the ribbon-cutting ceremony and other activities (including the Kona Ice Truck).
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday!

I want to ask you a favor. Sit down with your child for 5 minutes and explain that there is no reason to make fun of someone for being tall, short, chubby, skinny, black, white or hispanic.
There's nothing wrong with wearing the same shoes 👞 👟 every day.
Explain to them that a used backpack 🎒 carries the same dreams as a new one.
❤ Please teach them not to exclude anyone for "being different" or not having the same possibilities as another. Explain to them that teasing hurts... and that school is for going to LEARN, NOT to COMPETE ❤️

Kindergarten Orientation will be help on Friday, August 16, 2024 in the Acme Forum. Check the graphic for your child's class's time. This is a great time for students to meet their teacher and parents to gather information about the school year.

🏫🍎✏️🚸 We can't wait to see our new Acme Kindergarteners at KINDERGARTEN KICKOFF on Monday, August 19, 2024. This is the first day of school for students in grades 1-12, but we invite our Kdg students and their families to visit Acme anytime between 4:30-6:30pm. Kindergarten students will have their first official day of school on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 starting at 8:20am. 🏫🍎✏️🚸

Hello Acmetonia Parents, family and friends. Hope everyone is having a WONDERFUL summer. With our first day just around the corner we wanted to let you all know we cant wait to see everyone and start our school year as the New Board and also as PTO. Emails will be coming out soon to members from last year with the new Membership Form. Please note that you do not need to turn in your clearances again unless something has expired, if you are not sure please reach out to us at our new email [email protected].
Our first meeting will be in September, the date will be posted in the next few days. Spread the word, let's make this the biggest year yet for volunteers and make this a year the kids won't forget. Looking forward to meeting and seeing you all.

DYNAMO DAY!!
What an Awesome day today was for the Acme Students. Even with the last minute change to having it indoors due to weather, the day turned out to be great. With inflatables in the gym, yard games and facepainting in the hallsways. Snack tables full of cotton candy, popcorn and goodies, along with some yummy Rita's Ice, the students had a blast!! Thank you to all that planned, donated and volunteered to make today possible. You guys ROCK!!

So many things have happened recently for our Acme students. We've had a 3rd grade musical,4-6 chorus/choir concert, Science Olympia, band and chamber singers concert, 6th grade picinic and yesterday's Kindergarten graduation. Congratulations to everyone, you all did a great job!

Update for the student council calendar-May 29th Dynamo Day please have your student wear the color of your grade.

How bright can Acme shine? This Wednesday, May 15, 2024 is Neon Day sponsored by the Acme Student Council.

Congratulations to the Acmetonia Kids of Steel 5K Team! Over the weekend, the 27 students participated in the Pittsburgh Kids Marathon, with two also competing in the 5K. Out of the 7,403 students competing, one acme student finished 12th, one finished 13th, and four others finished in the top 50. Way to go Dynamos!

Announcements from last week's PTA MEETING :
The voting count came in and majority vote was to switch from PTA to PTO. Starting with the new school year we will be ACME PTO.
