The truth is, December comes and goes every single year. While it’s busier than most months that’s exactly why I train harder, plan more, hydrate consistently and manage boundaries even better. And you should too.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT…
If you are doing workout classes every week yet not seeing the results you’re looking for after a few months, why are you still doing them?
I see this often: people clinging to the group classes they do every week or random workouts that make
them sweat even though they aren’t seeing any results.
Or going on diet after diet, thinking this time a new food restriction could be the silver bullet.
Why? Because we all like the devil we know VS the devil we don’t.
Weight lifting can be intimidating. There’s a reason why cardio machines are the first thing you see when you enter any commercial gym.
Starting something new means being bad at it and most people don’t want to go through that, quite frankly.
And taking the time to learn about nutrition on a deeper level takes more work than just being told what to eat and what not to eat.
If you work out like you always have and eat how you always have, you’ll continue getting the same results you’ve always been getting.
Something I tell my clients all the time…if they start my program and think “wow, this is different from what I’ve done before”…
Good! I’m glad! It should be. That means they’re actually getting a different result than all the other crap that hasn’t worked in the past.
If nothing changes, nothing changes. 💯 Embrace it!

Another opportunity to choose nourishment over restriction. To choose movement over obsession. To choose respecting your body over thinness. You have a choice. Choose you.

I remember the day when I first laid eyes on a kettlebell—that heavy hunk of iron in the shape of a ball with a handle on it.
Little did I realize that this one piece of equipment would open the door to a whole new world and change my life forever.
I felt like I had jumped down a rabbit hole and found the holy grail of fitness. My journey learning the philosophy behind kettlebell training was fascinating and rewarding. It was a gateway to turning my body and my clients' bodies into machines.
I've trained thousands of people over the last 12 years using the kettlebell methods, and the results have been outstanding.
I love to share kettlebell training with the uninitiated because I believe so completely in its power to transform anyone.
Time to use the 2% of your day to help you live a better 98% instead of the other way around. 💯
If you’re strength training, prioritizing protein, drinking your H2O, getting solid sleep, walking daily and managing stress at this point you need to give it TIME.
You can’t rush results for what took time to create. (No one got to where they’re starting from without time.)
You can’t assess progress without honest tracking and review. (4-6 weeks of time before an adjustment is my rule of thumb.)
If you’re thoughts are obsessive about working out, weight loss, what else you can add…the best thing you can do is slow down, give it time and LIVE YOUR LIFE to rebalance those thoughts.
Never have I coached a woman who wasn’t busy, stressed and had a lot of responsibilities.
But often have I coached a woman whose spending a lot of time distracted by their results to MISS THE FUN in their lives.
That’s gotta change. And it starts with your thoughts. 💪🏼

When it comes to getting in shape, many of us are only concerned about the number on the scale when instead, we should be focused on our health. While you might think that a smaller number on the scale goes hand-in hand with healthy weight loss, it’s not always that black and white.
It’s self-sabotage to only measure your fitness progress by weighing yourself. The number you see on the scale is too unreliable to base your health and fitness on. You could be making some major improvements, but the scale doesn’t reflect that (which it usually doesn’t), you’ll be discouraged and tempted to give up.
The bottom line is that health is a lot more than a number on the scale - and your journey to a healthier lifestyle shouldn’t resolve solely upon how much weight you’ve lost. Instead of stepping on the scale, focus on celebrating the victories that empower you and contribute to a healthier, happier life.

What’s the secret to reverse aging?
Muscle is your secret weapon!! If you didn’t know, now you do.
The absolute best way to burn fat is to 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐥𝐞!!

When you build muscle, that muscle requires more energy. This raises your resting metabolic rate (calories your body burns at rest). This means you become a more efficient fat burner EVEN at rest.
To build muscle your body needs enough fuel, AKA FOOD.

Over 40 and struggling to get toned?
Here’s the likely culprit and exactly why you haven’t been able to achieve that goal.
What you did in your 20’s and 30’s just won’t work now. Instead of working with us it begins to fight back and resist the changes we’re trying to make.
You’re adding fuel to the fire and letting your body’s fight or flight take over. If you keep doing things this way you’ll be yo-yo’ ing forever.
Restricting calories, too much cardio, cutting carbs and skimping on protein are putting TOO MUCH STRESS on your body.
You’re undermining your metabolism and literally preventing it from doing its job.
You can’t tone a body without muscle. You can’t tone fat. You have to burn fat and build muscle. That’s how you get that toned look.
You gotta let go of the scale. Your goal weight is likely not your body’s ideal weight. Stop being a slave to that number.
Instead:
💪🏻build a solid foundation
✅add protein, lots of it aim for .8-1g of protein per pound of body weight
🍞 include carbs, these are needed
🏋🏼♀️strength train and reduce cardio
🚶🏽♀️Walk daily to lower stress
⏰ give it time, nothing was built in 30 days, 60 or 90 days.
At this stage it’s so much more than calories in and calories out, you need to think smarter and be kinder to your body and mind to hit the goals you have.

I remember when I started my fitness journey (over 20 years ago now) I started with a lot of bad advice on dieting and training (more like over training) but I’m so glad I went through that because when I finally discovered how to lift weights and not be afraid of food, it helped me break the stereotype that “lifting weights make you look manly”.
It hasn’t always been easy because a lot of people still think it’s ok to comment on someone’s body … especially if they are visibly getting more fit.
I’ve heard comments like…
-Ok that’s enough muscle now
-You’re looking a little manly
-I like you a softer more feminine
-Wow man arms
I personally think strength (both physically and mentally) is BADASS. When you build muscle it takes dedication, commitment and a detailed action plan. It doesn’t just happen!!
Lifting weights help you stay strong, fit and YOUNG … nothing in my opinion is more empowering.
Let’s start celebrating strong quads to run and hike mountains and strong arms, back, and shoulders to pick up our children.
I think strength training allows us to feel confident in everything we do.

Yes … age is just a number but my goal is to feel and look better and better as the years go by.
Squatting and Deadlifting with my grandchildren 🏋🏼♀️
Unfortunately, I find many women lack this attitude.
They succumb to getting older with saying things like: "I'm old now” or “well I can’t change now, I’m way too old for that!”
Actually funny story - Someone pretty close to me asked me when I was going to stop working out and doing photoshoots anyways…
My answer to that is — NEVER!
I will continue working on my mindset, physique, strength, health, business goals and creating a like minded community👯♀️
So we can all LEVEL UP together by:

👉🏻Doing things that are uncomfortable
👉🏻Hanging out with smarter people than you
👉🏻Doing it even when it’s HARD and painful

Life is not perfect. In fact it’s really messy. Lots going on that can easily derail us from prioritizing ourselves in any capacity.
This is where I’ve introduced GOOD. BETTER. BEST. As a concept to the majority of my clients.
It’s an opportunity, during a particularly tough time in life to evaluate a program and decide what’s good enough for right now.
Then work on developing towards better habits/preparation/outlook once things ease up.
Eventually leading us to our best effort. This is where consistency will pay off dividends because you didn’t give up on YOU.
When we have to be perfect 100% of the time despite what life is throwing at us we feel defeated, tired, burned out and eventually give up on ourselves because that’s how we get a little breathing room. Or so we think.
My goal is to show you how to ebb and flow WITH the current of life. Not against it. This way you get further along your goals in a shorter period of time.

When you're a mom, it's easy to forget that YOU matter too...
And if you've been so overwhelmed that you've bumped yourself to the bottom of your own priority list...
I need to remind you how important it is to prioritize yourself because when you can start doing that, everyone around you WINS!
This hot momma is - we first started working together when she joined my original online challenge and have continued working together off/on awhile now and this is her progress.
Admittedly the last few months were chaotic for her (like many of you too) but, because health and fitness are becoming a priority in her life, she found a way to prioritize herself amidst the chaos while giving herself some grace along the way.
Was it perfect? Heck no!!!
Far from it. That would likely be the first thing she would tell you.
But you know what's better than "getting things perfect when times are ideal"?
It's to keep showing up when times are LESS than ideal and that's how this Strong Mom rolls.
So if you're struggling with putting yourself as a priority because of this, that or the other...
Stop it.
You matter very much and should treat yourself as a priority.
Trust me, when you do you’ll notice you show up better in every other area of your life.

They don’t get as many “likes” and “comments”.
But they do get tons of views because people are watching.
And if there isn’t at least 1 client success story in your top 9 photos on your Insta feed then your people are going to miss what you do.
I see so many fitness coaches go down the “influencer” road with cute entertaining reels (and that’s ok to mix in) but if it’s most of your content, people are not going to take you seriously.
Client wins and before and after with BTS info on how you helped your client will give your people an idea of what is possible.
And it gives you mega authority!
