This woman from Davao unexpectedly saw an old portrait of someone who resembles her!
Uploader Veronica Balayo was astonished when she saw a woman who looked like her during her visit to the National Museum on January 27, 2024.
"Our only goal is to have a photo of the Spoliarium After a few minutes of checking some art pieces, I was drawn to a photo and realized for a few seconds that it kind of looks like me," she told The Philippine STAR.
She shared that she felt goosebumps after seeing their faces side by side due to their uncanny feature similarities.
"'Yung connection after na eh parang I can’t stop looking at the photo after it was taken. Kumbaga sa kadami daming art collection ba't dun pa ako napadpad? After that 'di ko na talaga matigilan tignan ang photo and it reminds me of myself," she added.
It turned out the woman in the photo is Belen Ocampo, the mother of historian Ambeth Ocampo.
"Trending on Tiktok video this morning was the post of Veronica Balayo, a recent visitor to the National Museum who resembles a photo-oleo of my mother from the 1950s!" Ocampo wrote in his Facebook post on Saturday.
"This may have brought tears to your eyes, Sir Ambeth, seeing your mom in her, alive and in her youth," a netizen said in his post.
The uploaded video on social media garnered more than five million views, sparking conversations on the possibility of being reborn!
"Hala parang copy paste. Maybe reincarnation is true," someone commented.
