2024 FALL REC PROGRAM INFORMATION!!

If you were unable to attend tryouts last week and you are interested, please reach out to us for options

3rd grade 9am and 4/5/6 grade 930am games are still on for this morning as the make up. Also tryouts today are still on as planned.

Reminder of 2024 Schenectady Lightning Tryouts happening this Thursday 6/27 and Saturday 6/29 at Golf Rd.

It is requested that children attend BOTH sessions but exceptions can be made if child is not able to attend both. Please just communicate this to the coaching staff (myself Coach Mike, or Coach Angie who will be stepping in for me on thursday)

Red, and Blue 3rd graders game will continue next Saturday 6/29 @ 9am.
All 4th/5th/6th grade games will be played Saturday 6/29 @ 9:30am.

Tryouts will still be held as previously posted 6/27 & 6/29

Games are still on today, but start times might be delayed a bit for older kids due to possible incoming weather. Let's all enjoy championship week.

Reminder this is the last week of spring rec. Its been a great season and hope all the kids have been enjoying themselves.

If you did not recieve a tryout flyer last week please stop by the blue shed to get one or ask any questions u may have. Be sure to peek at the previously posted flyer for date and time details.

Looking to take your child's game to the next level? Well Schenectady soccer club will be hosting their Schenectady lightning travel team tryouts on Thursday 6/27 and Saturday 6/29 at Golf Rd soccer field.

We are looking for players from 2018 - 2006.

2018 - 2013 6/27 @ 6 - 7pm
2018 - 2013 6/29 @ 1030 - 1130am

2012 - 2006 6/27 @ 7 - 8pm
2012 - 2006 6/29 @ 1130am - 1230pm

Be sure to bring a ball with you and plenty of water. Our goal is to have enough kids to fill multiple teams so players do not get cut. We will do our absolute best to find a team based on age that fits your child.

If your child is currently in the spring rec program a flyer will be handed out this weekend. For those who are not playing in our spring rec program the same flyer will be posted here this weekend.

Looking forward to seeing everyone for week 3 of games. Half way thru the season. Keep up all the good work players and coaches.

Parents please be mindful of comments and agressive cheering on the sidelines. Make sure we all stay positive and we all support every child on the soccer field.

Attn parents. Concession stand will be open this Saturday. Water, Gatorade, Prime sports drinks, and a couple snack options will be available.

Also portable bathroom should be on site for Saturday as well.

Only prek/k need to check in at table, all other age groups can go onto field with their coach

Prek and kindergarten starts at 9am. Please arrive 10-15 mins early to check in at table and receive your child's jerseyand assigned team.

As a reminder 1st/2nd is at 10am, 3rd is at 11am or 1130am, 4th/5th/6th is at 12pm again please arrive 10 mins early or what your coach has requested for warmups and so games can start on time.

Great turnout for meet and greet. All coaches will be reaching out to those who missed. Practices for 1st-6th grade should be starting this week.

Reminder tomorrow 4/27 is meet and greet day. 1st/2nd grade at 10am and 3rd/4th/5th/6th grade at 1040am at Golf rd. Everyone has their child's team color

All 1st - 6th grade parents should have received a message from our club today notifying you of the meet and greet day (4/27/24). If for some reason you did not receive a message please comment, email, or messenger us so we can see where the miss happened.

Reminder pre-k and kindergarten do not have a meet and greet day. They will attend golf rd at 1st week of games on 5/11/24 at 9am.

Reminder spring 2024 sign ups and late sign ups have closed effective 4/5/24. Jerseys shirts have been ordered and teams are in the process of being made.

Communication will be sent to every single 1st-6th grader parent about the time slot for the meet and greet day with coach on Saturday 4/27/24. On meet and greet day you will meet your child's coach, obtain your child's practice schedule along with the time slots for your child's games on Saturdays starting 5/11/24 and recieve your child's jersey.

For pre-k and kindergarten you will report to golf rd on 5/11/24 at 9am as directed on the information sheet handed out at sign ups. Pre-k and kindergarten parents will need to check in at blue shed on 5/11 to reciev your child's jersey.

Thank you again to all the volunteer coaches this year, it really has made creating teams much easier.

2 days left for late sign ups. Final cutoff day is 4/5/24.

There are 4 days left to do a late sign up for anyone who has missed the 5 in-person sign ups held. April 5th is cut-off day. Anyone looking to sign between now and 4/5 need to contact us by email or messenger. Late fee will apply.

Absolute last opportunity for in person sign up without late fee will be Saturday 3/30 10am - 12pm.

Today 3/28 is 2nd and FINAL make up day for sign ups. 530pm-7pm at Golf rd.

Sign up reminder this weekend 3/23 and 3/24 at Golf rd from 10am-12pm.

Because of cold/snow weather this weekend we will open up 2 final sign up days Tuesday 3/26 and Thursday 3/28 both at Golf rd from 5:30pm-7pm with no late fee.

Late fees will be assigned to any sign up after 3/28/24 and a reminder NO SIGN UPS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 4/5/24.

If you missed this past weekend sign ups, don't stress there is still two more sign up sessions
