The Marquette Challenge at The University of Florida
Annual fundraising effort coordinated by PT and PTA students across the country to support the mission of providing funding opportunities to PT researchers
On behalf of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Students at the University of Florida, we are pleased to inform you on our fundraising efforts for the Foundation for Physical Therapy through the Marquette Challenge.
* The Foundation for Physical Therapy is a nonprofit organization founded in 1979 with a mission to fund and publicize physical therapy research.
* The Foundation has awarded more than $
14 million to launch and fund the research careers of more than 500 physical therapists around the country in scientific, clinical, and health services research.
* The Marquette Challenge is an annual grassroots fundraising effort coordinated and carried out by physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students across the country. to support new investigators in the field of physical therapy research. At the University of Florida, we believe innovations and new research by the Foundation for Physical Therapy will help propel our profession in a unified and solidified direction for the future. With Physical Therapy changing, innovating and adapting to various healthcare initiatives, we recognize the importance of furthering and maintaining our foothold in the healthcare community, not only for our patients but also for ourselves. The DPT students at the University of Florida are excited to be a part of the Marquette Challenge for the first time since its establishment almost 30 years ago. If you wish to donate and support the DPT students at the Gator Nation, please visit our donation website and select “University of Florida.” All proceeds raised for the Marquette Challenge go towards the Foundation for Physical Therapy. We thank you for your support and continued support in our endeavors. Go Gators! Marquette Challenge Donations: https://8928.thankyou4caring.org/marquettechallenge.
