Our Story

"This is the official Facebook Group of Women of Honor International (WHI) "Where women help women become better women".

Women of Honor International is a restoration and empowerment movement for women that is meant to help restore and reinforce the honor and dignity of women and help empower them to successfully fulfill their redemptive roles in the world as single women, wives, mothers and leaders in their different spheres of influence.

WHI will also help empower single women to rise up as women of honor and purity, women of conviction and influence, in a generation of compromise and low morality. It will also help restore young women who have been broken by premarital or extramarital sin.

Objectives

1.To empower Christian women in Biblical womanhood and in their unique roles as a single woman or wife, mother, professional, businesswoman and community leader, through mentoring, enrichment, and women's programs for women and children.

2.To help facilitate inner healing and restoration for hurting women through the Destined For Honor retreats.

3.To inspire and equip business women in adopting the vision of "business as mission".

Core Values

HONOR: Personal purity as part of a woman's honor (esp. for single women), marital fidelity, the "inner beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit" that honors the Lord (1 Pet. 3:3-6; Prov. 31:28-31), honor and respect for the husband (1 Pet. 3:1-2; Prov. 31:10-12, 23, 28), a woman of diligence and responsibility (Prov 31:13-28)

FAITH: Women of faith are women of strength, drawing security from God above all though intimacy with and dependence on him for one's emotional needs (1 Pet. 3:5-6 -"who put their hope in God"); drawing their worth from their identity In Christ

COMPASSION: reaching out to other hurting woman in the healing of their identities, restoration of those who have been broken by unholy sexual relationships, evangelism and spiritual mentoring of women, education programs for the youth on sexual purity, compassion programs for the poor, esp. children and teenage moms (Prov. 31:20, 26).

About the Logo

The gladiolus flower in our WHI logo is a known symbol of honour, purity, moral integrity, endurance and strength of character. WHI promotes the "unfading, inner beauty of a gentle and quite spirit" (1 Pet. 3:4). Gentleness is not weakness, but strength under restraint. It takes a lot of inner strength to be gentle when hurt or frustrated.

It is the inner strength of not giving up and the spirit of endurance in the midst of pain (James 1:2-4). That strength is drawn from faith in God’s unchanging love and hope in Him through the woman’s intimate walk with God that keeps her doing what is right and keeps her from giving way to fear (1 Pet. 3:5-6).

When a woman's security is deeply anchored in God, no storm of life can overwhelm her. The inner strength and beauty of a woman is drawn from the strength of her faith and intimacy with God.
