These little friends of ours come in all different shapes and sizes. Some microscopic parasites live inside cells, such as fat cells or red blood cells. Imagine if you could mitigate the impact of a high stress job 🤔.
Individuals who work in a high stress job such as military personnel, paramedics, police, firefighters, nurses to name a few, repetitively switch into a reflexive fight or flight state, ready to respond to any emergency. The problem is that over time, this switch doesn’t always turn off.
The brain creates and solidifies neuronal pathways secondary to the repetitive reflexive state, which can leave individuals in a state of free-floating anxiety, agitation, reactive behaviour, hypervigilance etc.). While many individuals don’t identify with any such symptoms, their brain tells a different story. Brain mapping shows that individuals who are continuously in a stressful environment may be walking around (essentially living) in a high beta brain wave state. The high beta Hz brainwave state is associated with anxiety, overthinking, ruminating, migraines, OCD (Demos 2019).
A free tool that can dramatically help to decrease high beta activation is meditation (although many people with anxiety, hypervigilance etc. may find mediation challenging when not introduced with support/guidance.
I have tried a many different types of meditation including many apps and have found personally that the best tool for meditation has been the Muse brain sensing headband. The real game changer has been doing consistent, personalized neurofeedback Brain training.

Hands Down the BEST Recipe!
You guys this is so easy to make, and will make you look like your a professional chef 👩🏻🍳.
I don’t follow Keto personally, but these noodles are perfect if you do! I love them as an alternative to regular pastas because I’m a volume eater when it comes to dinner 🍽 👀 and these noodle don’t leave you feeling heavy or bloated.
Recipe:
Use any deep dish baking pan.
Grab your favourite Feta (you’re going to bake the whole block).
Add 1-2 pints of cherry or plum tomatoes and add 1-2 Tbsp olive oil.
Sprinkle with your favourite herbs. I used oregano and rosemary from my garden 👩🏻🌾 . You can also add pepper and Italian seasoning or chili flakes.
Pop into the oven for about an hour at 350° F
Meanwhile make the Konjac or kelp noodles. I use a brand called while Ilana used the (you can get them on Amazon).
Just rinse the Konjac noodles (this brand is great b/c they don’t have thank funky smell that some brands have).
If using kelp noodle, just boil the noodles just like regular pasta but add 1-2 Tbsp baking soda to the water to soften the strands. Cook for about 10 minutes or until noodles have softened. Drain and rinse super well to get all the baking soda off.
Smash the tomatoes 🍅 and stir in the pasta.
I topped with some fresh garden basil 🌿

Your wellness routine doesn’t have to consume as much time as you think.
The key if you’re a busy person, is having the tools to make your wellness routine as effective as possible.

I wanted to share my results from the 4 week gut healing 🌱protocol I completed last week, so here are the before and after pictures I took.
This has less to do with weight loss and more to do with creating a healthy Gut Microbiome, decreasing inflammation, and healing my gut.
Throughout the four weeks, my nutrition focused on crowding out anti-inflammatory foods and crowding in foods that increase diversity in the gut biome. I also utilized supplemental support specific for gut healing.
In conjunction with the nutrition program I was following, I was also following a 4 week low impact exercise program. The program focused more on heavier weight lifting for total body strengthening (as opposed to jumping/sprinting), which also helps to decrease inflammation and stress on the body.
Stress is something that I inadvertently neglect sometimes. So this year I have been ensuring that my morning and evening routine consists of meditation and gratitude journaling ( I follow )’s guided meditations still (love them).
While I lost 6 lbs, the decrees in inflammation speaks for itself. I feel like my energy levels have improved drastically, I have decreased brain fog and have every intention of continuing to follow these new lifestyle changes.
🫶Don’t give up on your Wellnes journey friends. There is always room to become a stronger healthier version of ourselves. It’s taken a lot to navigate my way through my Hashimoto’s healing journey - but we were born to overcome hard things.
I wanted to share a bit of an update with my Hashimotos journey.
Some of you have been asking me about it here in messages, and some of you when you see me in person, so I figure it’s time for an update.
I’ve had some really positive changes over the last year. The biggest, life changing outcome for me has been my thermoregulatory system. I use to be freezing 🥶 cold, ALL the time. I basically lived in a down filled jacket. This had been going on for about 20 years!
I was outside gardening in the rain in a T-Shirt the other day, which use to be unheard of for me.
What I’ve been doing:
Nutrition & Gut Healing: This last month has been especially transformative in following my gut healing protocol program. Eating anti-inflammatory foods is KEY when you have Hasimotos (more to come on that later).
Meditation, breath work and brain training - creating coherence. Decreasing my sympathetic drive and increasing my parasympathetic tone.
Grounding: can be done in so many different ways. What I’ve been doing is gardening every single day. Connecting with plants, trees and nature (birds, bees, dirt and trees). I’ve also been using yoga and meditation for grounding.
Frequency healing: We are made up of frequencies. This has been an amazing introduction to my wellness regime.
Infrared Sauna 4-5 days/week. You can see some of my other reels for all of the benefits of Infrared saunas (especially for Hashimoto’s).
Also adding in important binding agents () to assist with the detoxification process.
Chromotherapy 4-5 days/week while in my sauna.
Animal therapy: There is nothing like being surround by 4 cats to help you open your heart, feel love and happiness. Animal therapy is really healing.
