I couldn’t decide on which new products I wanted to post about, so here’s both new furniture & new hardwood flooring options at Decorators Choice of Hornell!

Our team at Decorators Choice of Hornell is INCREDIBLE. Here’s a home on a local College campus that our staff worked around the clock to finish. Now, all that’s needed is some decorative touch, & you know where to find us 😉 Our empire continues to expand because of the wonderful community who continues to support us. The second you walk through our doors, you’re appreciated & valued… something I’ve noticed is becoming a rare concept in many businesses these days. We just keep expanding our scope of work at Decorators Choice of Hornell!! Dan & Bill did a wonderful job replacing an old, worn & faded stage curtain with a bright, clean, crisp new custom stage curtain at a local school!

Unloading a bunch of new furniture from our Best Home Furnishings/Best Chairs, Inc. order at Decorators Choice of Hornell! Here are 2 of my personal favorite pieces! The Reyona chaise lounge in (fabric) Biscuit, and the Corllini Swivel Barrel Pushback in (fabric) Indigo. Both fabrics are fun and transitional! The indigo features a subtle repeating square pattern for an added accent. Biscuit is the perfect fabric to subtly accentuate a room without an overuse of pattern or color. **The pics don’t do the fabrics justice!** Gertrude approves! (I had no intentions of getting her in this picture, she just came over and sat down in front of me. Needy girl!) 😂

We’ve recently taken on a Leather Furniture line in which we believe may be the best quality furniture we’ve seen within the industry in decades. At Decorators Choice of Hornell, we don’t just put anything on our showroom floor. We take the time to learn about each product, test the product within our own homes & gain an understanding of the Manufacturer’s process, materials used, mission & values. Luke Leather (www.lukeleather.com) is now on our floor at Decorator’s Choice, & I can’t stress enough that every expectation has been met with Luke Leather Furniture. This furniture is premium quality, built to LAST with every day wear & tear, not just to look beautiful in a museum-like home. Below are some key points I found to be important product knowledge to share with consumers. All of their leather lines are customizable with the ability to put any top quality leather on any top quality frame at no additional cost! Check this out!! ⬇️

THE FRAME:
These woods are selected at source & seasoned for a minimum of 2 tears to ensure long term durability. All corners & load bearing areas of our frames are additionally secured with heavy duty corner blocks to add to the strength & durability of the frame. Upon completion of the frame, we encase the entire structure which ensures the strength & integrity of the frame. We the put 1” of foam around the frame before upholstery so that when you touch the sides & backs you notice a firm/soft sensation, not 4” of play between the leather & frame as you would find with most of our competitors.

SUSPENSION UNIT:
Heavy duty 9 gauge sinuous spring steel. These “S” shaped steel springs are fastened to the top of the front rail & run from the front to the back of the piece 2” apart. These springs are attached to the frame using heavy duty clips. Two firm rods are used to hold the springs in place which offers additional durability to the sitting area, both on the front & back of each individual seat. We also attach a canvas barrier between the foam & the steel springs. This prevents the foam from wearing. We use five steel springs per seat to ensure the strength, comfort & durability of the foam cushion core. In addition: We use two solid wooden stretchers that run front to back to stabilize & strengthen the frame against the tension of the steel sinuous springs, strengthening the frame itself.

CUSHION & SEATING:
The seat cushions are composed of polyurethane foam cores with a high quality Dacron topper on the surface for comfort. The density of these cushions will vary from 2.0 to 2.3. This is a unit of measurement of the number of porous holes in the cushion. The standard quality in our industry would be 1.8. The back cushions are composed of Dacron fiber which is blown in to vertically & horizontally channeled bags. This ensures that the proper amount of Dacron is blown in the same every time. The POCKET COIL seating is also present here, as this enhanced seating comes standard in all Luke Leather products & adds years of durability to the seating.

At Decorators Choice of Hornell, we love our greeter, Gerty, (& late greeters, Jacoby Ford & Hannah Banana). We’ve had furry greeters for over 20 years now, & they’ve become a part of our business. Gertrude & Jacoby both came from our local Hornell Area Humane Society, & we couldn’t have asked for more loyal, well-behaved, loving beings. We are encouraging everyone who is looking for unconditional love & loyalty to adopt. Both Jacoby & Gertrude came from our local Humane Society, fully potty trained & so well-mannered. We are asking for everyone who wants companionship to consider adopting dogs & cats of all ages! They’ve taught us so much. They’ve showed us what loyalty & real love looks like. (They’ve also proven the durability of our flooring products! lol) Most importantly, these loving beings at shelters need their FURever home ❤️ Please consider adoption. It’s the best decision we’ve ever made.
