🥰 Today I said bye to my Family here in Guatemala. It was harder than I thought. It was extremely hard. I hugged my grandma and I felt her tears run down her cheeks and she felt mine. As I hugged everyone goodbye my uncles and aunts held back tears. My uncle said, stay out of trouble, but if you're gonna get in trouble invite me 😂 Loved that it distracted us from saying goodbye because we all laughed. I walked out my grandma's house and got in the car. My body felt hot. Daniel turned on the car and as we drove away they all stood outside watching us drive away. I gathered myself and Said to myself. I'm coming back..... This doesn't end here. This is not a goodbye, this is, I will see you again. Ive found closure. Faith over Fear. I'm going to live by that. ✌✌✌

Today was one for the books! I felt and heard my self laughing so hard that my cheeks began to hurt 😂😂😂 Today we went to Volcano Pacayo. The ride up is priceless. Just the drive is enough to make you grin. We rented horses up the mountain and made it to the Volcano. We came back down and Daniel Velasquez fell off the horse!!!! When I say fell, this guy face planted on fresh Guatemalan soil 😂 Ofcourse I made sure he was ok but I've never laughed so hard. He never laughed so hard. Wow this trip I will never forget. Guatemala is home for me. Guatemala is where part of my heart will stay. I just went up a mountain where my mom Iracema Zayas said her and my aunt and uncles used to climb as kids. I sent her pictures and she still remembers the views. One day we can maybe hike up the mountain together God willing 🙏 I wonder what places my dad went to as a kid. I wish I can ask him. I wish I can tell him my stories. He's with our all mighty projecting me and my loved ones. Love you dad. People here are coming up to me saying I look like you. They hug me and are not letting go. I feel you through them dad. I feel your presence 😌 te extraño

I love Guatemala. I was in the home my father grew up in. I shared a meal with Family and some I barely met. The hospitality was beyond words I can describe. I hugged my grandma who I haven't seen in 30+ years. I hugged uncles I never hugged. I met cousins I didn't know I had. I ate in the kitchen my dad ate in. I visited places and met some amazing people and saw some amazing views! I am at peace. ❤ thank you my partner in crime for not asking any questions and just saying "f**k it lets go" I asked questions and you answered, " IDK we'll worry about it when we get there" 😂 IDK who needs to hear this but, STOP living in fear and just do it....
