Highland Worship

Scottish-Irish, Celtic roots music, with the pipes, the fiddles, the whistles, and the soul to lift This band is made up mostly of folks who live in Knoxville.

This was recorded at the foot of the Smoky Mountains, in East Tennessee, where many Scot-Irish settled. While the Smoky Mountains are renowned for a very specific style of Bluegrass gospel music, this album attempts to slide beneath that style to get at the Celtic roots of the area's fantastic music.

The Lord does amazing artwork in His Creation, and no one else gets to share our very particular vantage in this world. What a joy to know that He wants to share all this with us quite uniquely. He holds eternity in His hands, and He is not short on time.

Here’s a photo to make you smile, since it’s Monday. It was taken in Glen Nevis near Fort William, just before the boy travelled to Hogwarts on the Hogwarts Express. The Jacobite steam train features in the Harry Potter movies. Some of the movie scenes were filmed in Glen Nevis, and at other spots along the stunning West Highland Railway Line.

You can ready blog about that magical journey here: https://theweewhitedug.com/scotland/the-jacobite-steam-train/

Dunrobin Castle is the most northerly of Scotland's Great Houses and is one of the most majestic, looking like a French château with its fantastic gardens. It is the largest house in the Highlands of Scotland with 189 rooms, dating in parts from the early 1300s. It was home to the Dukes of Sutherland, and it is now occupied by the Earls of Sutherland who are their descendants.
