We got so much fantastic feedback from our North American fans, now we can finally present you our first ever tour in the USA! We are super happy that we tour with our sisters in The Iron Maidens - what a great package this is. There are also some headline shows (marked with two star ** ) and the M3 Festival involved in this run on the East coast!

Nevertheless we are working on more dates in North America in the future, if the situation allows us too. Thanks a lot for the great support - more to follow! Also concerts in Latin America are planned in 2022! READY TO FIGHT!

After a 14 year hiatus and feeling energized and inspired, Insania are back with a powerful new record full of speedy, soaring tracks in the classic European power metal style with double-bass drums, great hooks, and amazing solos. The band's current line-up consists of Mikko Korsbäck (drums), Tomas Stolt (bass), Niklas Dahlin (guitar), Ola Halén (vocals), Dimitri Keiski (vocals), and Peter Östros (guitar).

The first version of Insania was formed in 1992 by drum player Mikko Korsbäck and guitar player Henrik Juhano. Bass player Tomas Stolt was added to the line-up shortly after and a few other musicians were also part of the band for short periods of time. The band initially started off playing covers of their favorite bands such as Helloween and Iron Maiden, but eventually Mikko´s classmate Niklas Dahlin joined as a second guitar player and they started writing their own tunes. The band then added keyboard player Patrik Västilä and began to pursue a more melodic style. Mikko took it upon himself to sing, even if he was playing the drums at the same time, as the band had not found a vocalist to match their ambitions.

In 1997, the band approached singer David Henriksson to join the band. The union between the band's ambitions and David’s vocals were a match made in heaven. The band felt complete now and sought to find a way to reach a bigger crowd. Later, the band was offered a deal with House of Kicks (later known as MNW and then Sound Pollution) and their debut album "World of Ice" was released in 1999. The band would go on to release three more albums over the course of the coming years while enduring some line-up changes and eventually going on hiatus in 2007.

Now the band has reformed and is ready to bring their power metal stylings back to metalheads around the globe!

FLASH CONCERT at the new Knight Stage!

Surprise! Really excited to announce that the band and I will be doing a “pop up” show at the brand new Knight Stage on Thursday, August 12th at 7:30pm. We wanted to celebrate the grand opening of this intimate venue next to the Civic and send it off in grand style. If I’m being honest, though, being the impatient guy that I am, there’s no way I can wait until October and One Dark Night... to get back at it. I’ve been hard at work during the lockdown and we have a bunch of new tunes from the upcoming new CD, Vermeer, to give you a sneak peak at as well as diving back into my catalog and pulling out some old gems you haven’t heard in a while.

Tickets are insanely cheap at $20, there are only a limited number available as it is a vibey, intimate venue and this is a sure sell out. No hype, but don’t wait to get your tickets.

I can’t express how stoked I am to get back on stage and play some of the new album. In fact, it is the first Rock show to play The Knight! It’s going to be a special evening and I hope you can join us for this up-close and personal show and celebrate the opening of Akron’s newest, coolest venue, The Knight Stage!

July 1, 2021 - INVICTUS, the new solo project spearheaded by Maurizio Iacono, lead singer of world renowned death metal cult band Kataklysm and rising theatrical Roman themed outfit Ex Deo, has signed to Entertainment One for the release of its debut full-length.

Notes Scott Givens, eOne Senior Vice President, Rock & Metal, “I'm very excited to finally be working with Maurizio Iacono. He has been a force in metal for years and we look forward to a great future together starting with the release of INVICTUS.”

Added Iacono, “I've explored many facets of the music business, from performing, writing, and producing, to managing bands’ careers but I’ve never explored that deep down energy inside my thoughts that drives me to always compete and, in many ways, survive everything thrown at me. I’ve found that I’ve matured enough now to release something that I’ve been waiting to do for a long time and explore different musical lines within the metal world to bring a more personal touch to what I have been doing over the years. Iacono stands among the most prolific and hardest working soldiers of the metal underground. With INVICTUS, Iacono tackles a new personal quest, this time exploring a deeper and more personal outlook on his upbringing and the struggles within and around him. The as-yet-untitled debut album will feature a strong main collaboration with acclaimed singer songwriter and producer Chris Clancy (Mutiny Within) and longtime partner in crime producer/guitarist J-F Dagenais (Kataklysm , Ex Deo) both whom musically help Iacono enhance the many rock and metal influences that have made up the fabric of his career but also help him step into uncharted territory. There is nothing “safe” about the album; the focus is an old-school approach of unapologetic, straight forward metal destined to rev up your engines.

10/30 at the Cleveland Agora - what a great lineup!

Nuclear Blast is proud to announce the US leg of "The Bay Strikes Back Tour" featuring thrash legends TESTAMENT, EXODUS, and DEATH ANGEL. The 30 date trek will kick off on October 6th at the Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, CA and will make stops in Austin, New York, and Detroit before concluding at The Fox in Oakland on November 27th.

New Brainstorm album is always worth the wait.

Attention! Release postponement!

Dear fans of the band Brainstorm. The current situation of the vinyl production is like bewitched. Unfortunately the release of the new album "Wall Of Skulls" has to be postponed by some weeks to September 17th, 2021.

This is mainly due to the fact that the medium "vinyl" is once again becoming more and more popular and the pressing plants are currently very busy. In addition, due to political developments, there is unfortunately a shortage of the main ingredient "polyvinyl chloride" (PVC). We regret very much that this also affects the pressing of BRAINSTORM's new album, but we decided to make the release identical for digipak, jewelcase, box as well as the vinyl in order not to unfairly disadvantage anyone.

For this we talked to the pressing factory and got 17.09.2021 as a guaranteed release date.

We are very sorry that you now have to wait a few weeks longer for the record, but the greatest pleasure lies in the anticipation and we promise the wait will be worth it!

We were really suprised to hear about his comment via magazines and our crew - there was no conversation before.

We respect his decision!

It is true, that the production of „Suite 226“ and also the tour showed
the differences between how we want this band to be and his view.

Anyway, there is no reason for us to fight here with Urban.
He is an outstanding great singer and musician and we want to thank him for more than 100 concerts worldwide, great songs and his work on 4 amazing records!
We truly wish him all the best for his future!
