On September 12, 2024, a legal literacy session was conducted at Qaiser Garh District Kasur with the brick kiln worker. They have never attended legal literacy sessions in which laws and legal procedures were shared with them. Through video clips in the local language, CLAAS shared laws regarding women's protection, harassment at the workplace, and at home, child abuse, forced conversion, forced marriage, and discriminatory laws against minorities.
Women's Equality Day is observed every year on August 26 to celebrate the equal status of genders across the globe. The day commemorates the adoption of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution, which protects women's rights and prohibits voting discrimination based on gender. To celebrate this day CLAAS conducted a session with the survivors of gender-based violence.

Mr. Morris John, Secretary of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Pakistani Minorities visited the CLAAS office. Advocacy and lobbying on the concerned minorities' issues, the current situation of the minorities in Pakistan, and the way forward to redress the issues was the agenda of the meeting.

Today CLAAS visited Rawal's family (who according to the social media news was thrown into the furnace at a brick kiln in Faisalabad) for condolences with the aggrieved family. The team also visited the place of incident and met with the concerned police officer. The family told the CLAAS team that their son's death was an accident and that the viral social media news of him being killed is fake and has no truth in it.

Kaneez Fatima a woman who was alleged for false blasphemy accusation in 2020, today is acquitted by the lower court of Lahore.

CLAAS was invited to speak at the 68 UN Convention on the Status of Women side event hosted by Jubilee Campaign and Coptic Solidarity in New York on 20th March 2024. CLAAS presented a paper on lack of social protection mechanisms which increases the plight of minority women in Pakistan.
As a part of our Women Empowerment Program, CLAAS will be conducting a series of psychosocial workshops with female survivors. The purpose is to provide them the support and tools to improve their mental, emotional, social and spiritual health. Today was the introductory session. Dr. Faiza, a professional psychologist will be conducting these sessions. The whole group is very excited to embark on this journey together.
To celebrate International Women's day CLAAS hosted an awareness session with Christian community in Jaranwala. The positive part was that it was also well attended by men who supported and vowed to eliminate gender inequalities from their own homes and families. Happy Women's day
Human Rights Day is celebrated around the world on December 10 every year. To commemorate Human Rights Day CLAAS organized a session for the survivors of gender-based violence. speakers and participants discussed the issues and impact of violations against women and girls in Pakistan. Preventive measure to reduce gender-based violence was also part of the discussion.
Christian houses and churches were put on fire in a tragic incident which took place in Jaranwala District Faisalabad on August 16, 2023 after the accusation of blasphemy. The mob also looted valuables from the houses that had been abandoned by their owners, fearing violence. On August 19, 2023 the CLAAS team visited the area and reviewed the situation of the houses and churches that were attacked by Muslim mob. The nominated two Christian brothers were arrested and on judicial remand. The aggrieved Christian family came back to their locality with tears and fear of life. Nothing is left for their survival.
