Record High Temperatures

Another day of broken high temperatures across western Washington. SeaTac tied their record high reaching 95 degrees. Olympia reached 99 degrees as well. Temperatures will continue to remain very warm into tonight.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - We are looking for people who are really dedicated and passionate about helping the animals in their community and securing positive outcomes. This is an on-call position and varies on availability – usually one to two hours per month.

As we move towards Summer the need for TNR [Trap, Neuter (or spay), Return] volunteers increases. TNR volunteers transport feral or community cats back to the location they originally came from - once the cats have been neutered or spayed.

The positive welfare aspects of programs like this include cats having their natural needs met, reducing cat bites to people, maintaining a stable cat population and reducing kitten deaths and disease etc.
