Today is the day!
Back in 1988 World Aids Day was established. It is a day served as a memorial to raise awareness to the HIV/AIDS that is spreading through our Communities.
It's also the focal point each year Organizations that is campaigning to end HIV/AIDS by 2030.......we can all have a share in ending the Epidemic.

14 years ago today the blood that my doctor sent off to the labs for prenatal testing came back saying that I was HIV POSITIVE...... It wouldn't be for another 3 days that I would find out from the doctor.

National Latino AIDS Awareness Day is observed annually on October 15, or the last day of National Hispanic Heritage Month. In 2015, this segment of the population accounted for about one quarter of all new diagnoses of HIV in the U.S. Local organizations across the country use the day to launch prevention campaigns, offer counseling and testing, and hold cultural events.

According to the CDC, people age 50 and older accounted for nearly 17% of new HIV diagnoses in the United States in 2017. NHAAD encourages HIV testing among older adults and HIV awareness for senior.
