Found these Dr. Praegers Broccoli Littles in the freezer section of Target yesterday. They’re surprisingly good and only 2 WW points for 4. Pairing them with a cutie and 2 boiled eggs for a 2 WW point breakfast.
Well, it’s been a minute. ⌚️
The day after I started this back in May, my momma’s health took a turn. She battled it out, but ultimately passed away on July 7th.
I’ve been a wreck ever since. 😭
This morning, I realized that it’s time to start scooping myself up off the pavement and get my house in order.
For whatever reason, I joined Weight Watcher’s and did pretty well for my first day. I even had points left over, so yay me!
So here’s to Day 1… Round 2… let’s see where this thing goes! 👍🏼
Hey, y’all! It’s a crazy day today! I had to take my mom to the doctor and will be celebrating my grandson’s birthday later. Not sure how much I’ll get to post!
Oops! I’ve been working on a website all day and forgot to eat! Grabbing some sweet iced tea with a few nachos and M&M’s. Left half the chips on my plate.
Oops! I forgot to take a pic and now it’s almost gone! 🤦🏻♀️ Nothing exciting… just a Turkey sandwich with a bit of mayo… pickles on the side!
I love my coffee light, so I measured this morning… 3 tablespoons of creamer to get it to the shade I like! Yikes!
Wow! Can’t believe it! When I took an early retirement from teaching last year, I was busting the scales at 290. I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped on the scales this morning to see 273.5… so 16.5 pounds gone since then. Yay me! That’s encouraging! 🙌🏼

Well, here I am! Not really sure what else to try, so I’m giving Instagram a shot! 🤷🏻♀️
I turn 55 on the 5th and I’ve been heavy my ENTIRE life… chunky kid… slimmed down briefly during a few teenage years by starving myself… it all quickly came back and then some…
I’ve never been able to conquer my food addiction, so i just kept gaining and gaining… 😔
I don’t want to be this close to 300 pounds… especially now that I’m getting older… right now, I’m in pretty good health, but I know that my mobility is going to suffer soon and I don’t want to put my kids in a position where they’re having to tug on me because I won’t be able to do for myself… it’s not fair to me… it’s not fair to them… and it’s not fair to my grandkids…
So this is it… my last stand… I’ve had this account for a few years, so I’m dusting it off and I’m going to document my journey here to see if making this public will help.
So what’s the game plan? Honestly? I have NO idea!
I’ve failed every diet under the sun, so I’m just going to start by trying to make better choices and documenting my journey each day… the food… the water… the exercise… not sure what else… 🤷🏻♀️
I’ve created cover images for each topic I’m going to document and I will add other photos with each cover if needed so you can take a peek at what I ate or whatever.
