This is some information I found in a book called images of America -Bradenton. Its a pretty cool read if you want to learn about the Manatee River area. I thought it would give a bit more content to this project especially after so many people have responded and are intrigued by the history of the area. I will try to update as I find more info .

This is the Fogarty House. Its on Riverview Drive at 30th street. Its one of the older houses in Bradenton being 150 years old .The Fogarty's were boat builders in the mid to late 1800s. We have lifted the old beauty and removed the old brick foundation that was failing to make way for a new solid foundation. The wood under the structure was mostly hand hewn with some beams being 36 ft long and connected with wooden dowels. It was all in good shape due to it being hard heart pine . Once we lower it onto the new foundation David Windham Construction will have the task of bringing this jewel back to life so more generations can take a look back into the history of the Manatee River and Fogartyville.
