First Gingie of the 2019 holiday season is being born!

Phase 1: Hemming!

Hemming involves using a hammer to fold over the edge of the steel and provides three important benefits. First, due to steel's inherent "springiness", the hem adds a little more structure and helps the Gingie keep his shape. Second, the hem tidies up an otherwise rough edge and keeps your fingers safe. Finally, the hem lends itself to the traditional "cookie cutter" look we all know and love.

Each Big Gingey requires 24 feet of hemmed edges - that's about 2 hours of hammer time!

We are starting to maybe think about possibly getting back to the workshop soon...someday (but the weather has been so nice!)...

Hamilton Home had our first show yesterday! We heard some great feedback and got the "first show jitters" out of the way. We also scored a custom order from a fellow vendor/new friend (thank you, Melissa a la Melmos Dog Treats). Looking forward to the next show!
