Exciting day at the Active Aging Expo's for Older Adults and Healthcare Professionals hosted by Partners in Healthcare ! Our Regional Directors Kirk Dent and Candace Hopper had a great time engaging with senior community attendees and healthcare professionals. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, share insights, and explore ways to support the health and well-being of older adults. Looking forward to more collaborative events like this in the future!

**COMPETITIVE PAY** *Remote and In-person opportunities*
Job Responsibilities: The Outpatient Counselor is responsible for providing individual, family, and group counseling for clients in the outpatient programs of Family Insight, P.C. These services are provided in a professional office setting.
Skills & Knowledge: The Therapist must possess strong clinical writing and verbal communication skills, must have experience providing individual and family counseling and have experience working with persons with serious mental, emotional and/or behavioral disorders, substance use and/or co-occurring disorders. The Therapist must have experience and knowledge of crisis interventions and various therapeutic modalities. The Therapist must possess skills and knowledge of successful rapport building, treatment planning, group counseling, evidenced-based counseling practices, diagnostic criteria, and assessment completion. The Therapist must have knowledge of the impact of trauma on an individual’s functioning, and have experience working with diverse populations.
Job Requirements: The Outpatient Therapist must hold a Virginia State license in professional counseling (LPC), social work (LCSW), Supervisee in Social Work, or marriage and family therapist (LMFT).
*Residents and supervisees (licensed eligible) are highly encouraged to apply.* The ability of flexibility to work a schedule to include but not limited to evenings and weekends.

Continuing Education Event for Licensed Professional Counselors & Licensed Clinical Social Workers: The Body, The Nervous System, and Trauma: Ancient Practices Meet Modern Psychology
Co Hosted by: Pasadena Villa Outpatient Treatment Center and Family Insight P.C. .
Event Location: Chesterfield Office of Family Insight located at 2820 Waterford Lake Drive, Suite 102, Midlothian, VA 23112
This experiential learning event will provide education for counseling providers on trauma and the nervous system. They will learn interventions to help balance the nervous system, reduce anxiety, improve client mood, reduce symptoms of trauma, and help clients learn to self-regulate. Using body and mindfulness-based interventions, learners will experience and learn to teach self-regulating skills that will help their clients build emotional resources in their body and lead more peaceful lives.
Program Objectives:
1. Participants will be able to identify how the nervous system is being impacted by trauma in their clients.
2. Participants will be able to identify the intersects between modern psychological practices that treat trauma and ancient accessible practices that can be easily implemented by therapists.
3. Participants will be able to demonstrate interventions that can help regulate the nervous system and reduce the trauma response in their clients. 4. Participants will be able to develop a personal practice that will help with self-regulation to help them better manage the trauma experiences of their clients.
This event will provide 3 continuing education credits for counseling providers on trauma and the nervous system led by Lisa Castro, MBA, LCSW, RYT-200.
This event is free for licensed clinicians to attend!
