Considering his closet full of khaki pants and blue plaid shirts, it’s hard to imagine these marvelous, hand-built, custom finished pieces are created by someone who needs so much help with his wardrobe! Chris has been building and designing custom furniture all his life. It started with quality time spent in his father’s shop, creating storage and shelving solutions. There, Chris learned the usef
ulness of a straight line and the value of a job done right. Fast forward 25 years and mountains of sawdust later, Chris’ passion for creating custom pieces for his wife and his daughters inspired him to start a company – Khakiman Designs. Constantly looking for ways to hone his skills, Chris uses his knowledge of finish and trim carpentry (as well as a keen ability to listen to what the customer wants/needs) to create new and innovative pieces for customers that really fit their vision. Of course, Khakiman Designs offers a number of standard pieces but you can rest assured there is nothing “standard” about them!
