The Mission of Everyday Liturgies

Everyday Liturgies is a daily invitation into adoration of the Triune God via mundane, visual prayers.

Our mission is to resource you with simple, yet robust liturgies for your spiritual education and edification. The conviction of Everyday Liturgies is that the Christ of the Scriptures dwelt with his people by taking on human flesh (Jn 1:1–10), and he continues to dwell with his people through His abiding Spirit. Thus, we hope to create and cultivate thoughtful liturgies that can sustain and strengthen your faith in Christ by His Spirit through everyday practices of prayerful praise, lament, celebration, and petition.

“What is liturgy,” you may ask?

Philosopher James K.A. Smith would reply, “Liturgies are rhythms, routines, and rituals that have formative power. They aren’t just something you do; they’re also something they do to you.”

The “liturgies” of Everyday Liturgies, then, are visual and verbal provocations. When you scroll through your social media feed, we hope these liturgies will provoke you to see and situate yourself in a world far grander and more complex than the previous post you just read. And hopefully, just hopefully, your curiosity will be kindled enough to participate in these prayerful rhythms of Everyday Liturgies.
