Original Viletone Chris Haight celebrates the release of his new record - Jerry LePage JTunes - tonight at Horseshoe Tavern with Mark Malibu & the Wasagas and DJ Swankenstein. Cleave Anderson, John Hamilton, Jack Tassé and myself round out the band.

I'm honoured to be playing in Chris Haight's band for his record release show this Thursday March 14 at the Horseshoe Tavern. Also in the band are veterans Cleave Anderson , Jack Tassé (aka Jackie Death) and Chris's longtime friend and collaborator John Hamilton (Diodes, Secrets). John and Chris have been playing together since the 60s and were both part of the very first stirrings of Punk in the mid 70s. Here's a little taste of the two of them throughout the years.

Nice to see my old friend Ron Sexsmith do a career spanning set at Massey Hall for his 60th birthday last night. Excellent show, excellent band ( Don Kerr and Jason Mercer seen here). Congratulations Ron!

Punk pioneer Chris Haight (Viletones, Secrets) released a record last year that I had the pleasure of recording and mixing. The songs were all cobbled together from bits and bobs left behind by his late brother Jimmy "The Worm" Paputts and released under the name Jerry Lepage as an homage to Jimmy. We'll be celebrating the release with a show at Horseshoe Tavern on Thursday March 14. The band will consist of Chris, Cleave Anderson, Jackie (Death) Tasse, John Hamilton and my humble self on rhythm guitar. Advance tickets available through the Horseshoe Tavern website.

John Borra and Emily Triggs announce Ontario/Quebec tour | Roots Music Canada After completing a successful run of shows in Alberta last fall, John Borra and Emily Triggs are teaming up again to play Ontario and Quebec this June and July (see dates below). The pair's shared love of classic twang is proving to be a winning combination, with their individual songwriting styles....
