About Boyer Music Studio

The Boyer Music Studio offers private piano and voice lessons to ages 3.5 thru adult, as well as group homeschool music lessons and singing for special events. Convenient time slots are available.

Carrie Boyer is a native to the Jacksonville area. She has been married for almost 13 years, and she homeschools her children. She received a music scholarship to Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, where she studied vocal performance, early childhood education, and psychology. She graduated from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Music, where she was a member of Mu Phi Epsilon and the Fine Arts Honor Society. Carrie has been teaching piano and voice lessons for 15 years. She is also a staff singer at Holy Family Catholic Church in Baymeadows, where she sings regularly for weddings and funerals.

Carrie tries very hard to find ways to make lessons enjoyable and educational. While she is classically trained, she does bring in musical theatre to her voice lessons (of which she has a strong background), and encourages students to bring in music of their choice. Carrie believes that keeping a good line of communication open between the parents, students, and teacher is essential to successful teaching.
