When: August 5th- August 7th
Times: 8:30-11:30 & 1:00-3:30
Where: Oskaloosa HS Gyms
What: 3 days of drills, games, & skill building ran by Kaylee Manns & her staff of both current and former professional volleyball players. It’s a great opportunity to get exposed to athletes and coaches who’ve played the game at the highest level. Their insight and knowledge of the game is top tier and the girls learn so much in the short time they get to work with Kaylee and her staff. It’s a great opportunity for our program!

Due to funeral services being held on Wednesday morning for Mr. Scholes, we have decided to combine our camp sessions for the day.

Grades 3rd-5th will now join the older group (6th-8th) from 1:00-3:30 on WEDNESDAY ONLY. Kids will be divided between the middle school and high school but everyone will meet at the High school.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out. I apologize for the last minute change, but we wanted to ensure that everyone had a chance to go pay their respects.

We are looking for people/businesses who’d like to support our girls this pre-season! We practice twice a day, lift, & scrimmage area teams all in the span of 2 weeks & it gets very busy & tiring.

Hi all!

We were finally able to nail down some days and times for our middle schoolers. Because of crazy gym schedules we can only squeeze in 3 days. With that we’ve decided to do 3 skill sessions that will focus on a different skill each day. These are free & available to kids who will be in 6th-8th grade this fall.

Monday, July 8th: 5:00pm-6:30
Wednesday, July 10th: 10:00am-11:30
Friday, July 12th: 10am-11:30

This is a good opportunity to get some extra reps this summer and dust off the cobwebs just before camp!

🏐2024 Youth Volleyball Camp🏐

What: Osky Head Coach, Ashley Goytia, and staff are hosting a youth volleyball camp this summer! As coaches, our goal for camp is to get your athlete interested in volleyball! We will focus heavily on the fundamentals of the game and teamwork. We keep things fun but also encourage athletes to tap into that competitive side! At the conclusion of camp, they will receive a t-shirt that will match our High School Programs Team shirt for the 2024 season!

Who: Any boy or girl who will be in grades 3rd-8th for the 2024-25 school year. Kids from all districts are welcome!

Where: Oskaloosa High School

When: July 17th-19th.

Times: Grades 3rd-5th will attend the morning session from 9:00-11:30. Grades 6th-8th will attend the afternoon session from 1:00-3:30.

Details: $50 per camper. Please arrive 30 minutes early on the 17th to submit your payment and receive your name tag.

*Note: This year we decided to do 2 different sessions to improve the athlete-to-coach ratio. This will allow coaches to spend more time with each athlete so that athletes receive lots of feedback throughout camp. It also gives Coach Goytia more time with each group versus bouncing between gyms! We're excited about this change and are hopeful your child will have an even better camp experience because of it!

- The proceeds of this event go to the scholarship fund for Oskaloosa volleyball seniors who intend to go to college.

- There will be balcony seating for fans & concessions will be up & running.

OSKY SWING VBC PARENT INFORMATION

Our 2023 season came to end this week in the regional final match. We finished 16-17 overall & 3-3 in conference earning us a 3rd place finish in the little Hawkeye conference. For some perspective of the caliber of teams our conference is made up of, 4 of us were in the regional final match & 2 teams advanced on to state!

We’re just so proud of all the girls & are especially thankful for these 5 seniors pictured. They grew so much this season, mentally & physically. They were awesome leaders & have definitely set the bar high. We’re so thankful for their dedication to our program.

Along with the seniors, I wanted to give a shoutout to our programs coaches. I have the pleasure of coaching alongside some of the best women out there. Not only are they knowledgeable of the game and bring so much to the table coaching wise, but they are all awesome examples of strong, intelligent, caring women. We firmly believe in collaboration & running this program TOGETHER. Couldn’t & wouldn’t do this job with anyone who thought it was supposed to be done differently.

Year 2 was a great 1! Thanks a bunch to our administration, parents, & community. Another good season in the books ❤️

Today concluded our high school camp and to say it was awesome is an understatement. We were fortunate enough to have Midwest Volleyball Performance back to run our camp this year & as always the staff was amazing. I’m not quite sure our girls understood the magnitude of learning from & being coached by professional volleyball athletes but they learned a ton and we’re very receptive to all of the coaches feedback. Learning the game from women who have played at the highest level of volleyball is something special. A HUGE thank you to the staff for their time, energy, & dedication to this sport. Great job to the athletes that came and put the work in the past 3 days. They’re long days but we’re already seeing tons of improvements! We’re pretty stoked for Monday!!!! Go Indians!
