This quarter, students in Grades 3-6 have been studying geology, and in conjunction with that, the Gold Rush of 1849. They had fun experiencing their own “Gold Rush” by rushing to “Sutter’s Mill” to practice panning for gold, testing it for authenticity, and enjoying common miner fare like jerky, beans, and cornmeal mash. They delighted in seeing the science and history of 1849 come to life!

“Two stars keep not their motion in one sphere, nor can one England brook a double reign of Harry Percy and the Prince of Wales.”
Each spring at TCA, students in Grade 6 perform a Shakespeare play in front of their friends and family. This year, they put on King Henry IV! The students worked so hard the past few months memorizing lines, practicing dramatization, and preparing the stage for each scene. They had a lot of fun and did a fantastic job making this play come to life!

TCA welcomed grandfriends last week at Grandfriends’ Day! They joined students in their classrooms where they shared stories, listened to presentations, drew maps, and created memories to last a lifetime. We are thankful for the generations who have gone before us, and we are honored that they can pass down their wisdom, legacy, and faith to our students.

When they reached their final destination, they let go of their shields, entered the Celestial City, and rejoiced! “I seek a place that can never be destroyed, one that is pure, and that fadeth not away, and is laid up in heaven, and is safe there, to be given, at the time appointed, to them that seek it with all their heart.”
