This happened earlier this year and I just wanna say that it feels like a personal milestone to be a part of an organization I have looked up to since I was a little G in Vancouver watching the on TV. An actual TV where you had to time it right so you wouldn’t miss something you wanted to watch « omg the Grammys are on! ». get it.
Somehow I have found myself friends with at least two people who thought I should be in this with them and recommended, so I must be doing something right. Thank you!!!
I am delighted to have the opportunity be a mentor this year and I’m looking forward to doing some more voting and recommending as well ♥️

We were thrilled to be able to speak to young female filmmakers about the music part of the filmmaking process! Girls In Focus is an amazing program for girls ages 12-18 to learn all aspects of the business. At the end of their program, they each premiere their individual films with a red carpet event! If you know of a young woman who is interested in film, this would be an amazing opportunity, (and scholarships are available!!)
Its so important for women to help other women in this business.

Last night I had a dream where I was back at Berklee and my class was asked to write a piece of comedy music as an assignment. When the teacher came around he did not like mine and said - this is more sci fi than comedy, Re-do it. I was annoyed because I swore the instructions said that it could be comedy of any kind. It was comedy but also sci fi. Anyway! I re-read the instructions and, low and behold, below the main instructions was some fine print in brakets that said (make sure the comedy is a really really obvious!!) then I spent the rest of the dream trying to figure out how I was going to time a joke I couldn’t see.
Anyway! That’s the story of how I discovered that it’s weird to be able to read in your dreams. 👊😄
