GODIP
"Land and See"
🎄What a lovely surprise to arrive in the mail today! Thank you for keeping us safe in our skies and we hope you have a very Happy Christmas🎄
A few shots from this week.
Wishing Mark and Adi all the very best for their wedding this weekend. Mark has looked after G-ODIP for the past 8 years and was my mentor in gaining my Flying Display Authorisation. A wealth of knowledge in the display circuit which he kindly shared with me! Sharing this post for a cause close to both Mark and Adi. Enjoy your day and see you when you return back to the hangar ✈️
The flying season is over, for displays we finished with Southport and excellent weather. On Wednesday Aerolegends finished their passenger flying season in G-RSAF and it will soon be coming home to Hawarden for the winter.
Many people have asked why I have not been display the last two years. In Feb 2022 I was diagnosed with a rare cancer and given less than 12 months. I chose to ignore the prognosis and carry on doing what we do, I still fly but do not have the medical to allow me to display . I am still training the pilots on the Strikemaster and flying all the transits.
This weekend I am getting married to Adrienne who has been a massive support throughout. We are then taking some holidays prior to getting back to continue treating the cancer.
The Christie in Manchester have been looking after my treatment for the last 20 months and they are always trying to find new cures and treatments. We have set up a Just Giving Page to raise funds for future research and patient support, please consider giving to this cause, see you next year at a display near you:

Water Dogs 🐾
Rare chance to purchase an amphibian this side of the pond
This Grumman Albatross was delivered to the Navy in 1954 as BuNo 137928. While it never saw combat with the Navy, it was shot at by Jamaican authorities as it water taxied near Negril in 1996 with U2s Bono inside as a passenger. The planes owner, Jimmy Buffet, wrote a song about the plane and the incident. Famously known as “Hemisphere Dancer” (N928J), this old Navy vet has been enjoying retirement at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville at the Universal City Walk in Orlando since 2003. My photos.
RIP Jimmy Buffett

Peter, Rick, and Anthony you are the most outrageous crazy people I have ever met. The last couple of days have been incredible and you have been there to help in any way you could. Respect and thanks. I could write page after page but that would be really boring and I really don’t have the time. In any case I need to pump out the bilge😂😂😂
